Andrey Dossena is an under-rated striker.

Is he related to Andrea Dossena, or is it coincidence?

All credit to him for his mammoth total of two goals, but I'm going to stick my neck out and say he won't catch up to Torres on the goals front this season.

Javier Saviola, is grossly under rated.

Ryan Babel, another player sadly not appreciated upfront.

I think he'll miss out just a bit, but surely will give Torres a good run for his money.

      By Madrid in particular

Sorry can't agree not even in the same league as Torres, needs to grow a set first, not appreciated probably because he has yet to really do anything of note that would warrant him a first team start up front.

Being rated highly, overrated doesn't suggest you should start. Or even be compared to a player that which is better than yourself.

But being underrated means not given much of a chance.

In Babel's case with Rafa, he obviously loves playing upfront. Why is it we had to wait for a lacking in strikers to see him playing in around there.

We talk about Babel's self motivational strengths that are really, at times absent. But he really seems to be bent *no pun intended* that upfront is his home. Why not give him that luxury and see what good or bad fruits come of it.

      Hence, underrated.

David Villa, I know people have been saying that he is good but just look at his goal record http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Villa#Club he is consistently around 20 each season or above, I would give everything to see him upfront with Torres next season.

Would still rather see him on the Bench, Torres starting and Gerrard behind Nando.

Come on lad you know it makes sense.

Babel is too much of a shitbag to start a league game. FACT

I knew Villa scored a lot of goals but I didn't realise his goals to games ratio was that good!

From the year 2005 onwards, Villa has scored 78 goals in 119 games. That is impressive.

I think if theres something that Cisse is NOT, that is clever. And great finisher, really? He is terrible in wasting good chances, he is strong and has great pace but I dont rate him at all, never did.

      I agree about Kevin Davies.

Most under-rated striker in prem Peter Crouch, also think ex-blue nose Beattie is a good player.

Dead right, Peter Crouch was THE under rated player in a time where players are mostly over rated. Like others Iwish he'd stayed[ I reckon he does too!] , but it was his choice to leave, ana thats that.

Crouchy, of course! Where was i on that one? :f_doh:

Tevez by the Scum. Why is he behind Rooney and Berba? Rather have him, any day of the week than those 2.

As for Babel, he is overrated IMO, not underrated. If someone like Silva played like him, they'd say he is in a massive dip in form and on the other side of the scale, if someone played like Babel in park football you'd think he was just normal.

Loses the ball too much for mine, cant pass and cant shoot.

False hope. Anelka won't stay at a club for long.  Anelka isn't under-rated IMO. I think he's a streaky player and can be on fire and then next game invisible.

Tevez, yes. How Berbatov plays ahead of him is madness. Fergie must be cracking up.

Good point to make, but I think him like back in the days Gerrard. Doesnt likes the position he's being played in, Rafa sees him more of a winger. Whilst Babel feels he's a striker, thats why I said he underrated. Not rated as a good enough striker, so he plays on the wing.
