Liverpool are set to turn their attention to the reality of salvaging their Premier League title dreams at Middlesbrough.
Bad news is that Torres won't be available, but on the positive side, Stevie G might return to the starting line-up.

seeing middlesbrough's dismal form, its easy to say that we can get a win, but lately matches against them haven't exactly been walk-in-the-park.
 it was pretty close at anfield earlier this season. and the two games last season were also pretty close.
so fiingers crossed. just hope we play well tomorrow!

4 out of the last 5 have been draws, havent won there in a while and it was back when Heskey and Hyypia scored in a 2-1 win couple years back.

Hopefully we sneak a 1-0 win, its a very tough place to go for the top 4.

We have won only twice in our last 12 visits to 'Boro in the league and have lost five in that time.

Besides Brain78 mentioning the fact that its upside down I don't like the idea of babel playing upfront with Gerrard ..but i do like the idea of not putting riera in the starting XI maybe that will get his head out of his ass and tell him that he has some competition on the left ...and I don't think Benny will do bad there !

Might be upside down but they'll sort themselves out,can't see yossi being stuck out wide for any length of time,it seems like theres a magnet drawing him into the middle once he step over the halfway line as i say it'll sort itself.

We have more than enough quality without Torres to win this. I went to the Riverside a few weeks back with Barrow in the FA Cup. That finished 2-1 to Boro, although it could easily have been 2-2. My point is that they're sh*t and if we slip- up against them (or anyone else this season, in fairness) we are out of the title race.

i was watching on wednesday and stewards could not handle any fans proper anyway

its just a crap shoot if stevie g plays. then if thats the case this is to close to call. if we score one goal then its a draw. boro are coming on strong the last little while.the lesser lights have to step up there game here for us to win.

Think we can definitely go and get a win, even without torres. Such a shame he's injured, although it can't be helped i suppose. Just hope he can get back as soon as possible. Hope stevie plays too!

We are in the business end of the season and we must send out our best team for every match, no more draws, only wins will do it now. Come on you reds make it 12 games no one will ever forget and for starters a 4-0 win at Boro will do nicely......
