When is the last time we won up at Boro?

Listening to Rafa earlier im not 100% that Stevie will start tomorrow. Even if he does I think we will need the likes of Babel and Riera step up to the plate to get 3 points. Aurelio rarely puts back to back games together so my team, without Stevie, would be

      Reina

      Arbe Carra Skrtel Insua

            Masch Alonso

      Kuyt  Yossi   Riera

            Babel

An early goal would be nice tomorrow lads

Firstly, travelling fans aren't scared of anyone at the Riverside.

Also, we can handle 'Boro without Torres and Gerrard quite comfortably.

So you're in contact with a club insider eh? ::)

You aren't a Liverpool fan really, are you?

      ... Are you? :o

'Boro are still pretty piss poor this season, even if they have been playing "well" for the last 4 games. Relegation material is what they are, nothing more.

Perhaps you could talk yourself into using capital letters and full-stops then.

In aurelio's defence he had a great game at pompey and then was dropped but he had another great game in madrid so I'd say that would be enough to justify his selection. Apart from that I'd say you'd be pretty much on the mark with the rest of the team.

I was in no way having a go at Fab. Just pointing out he rarely plays 2 in a week is all

An early goal will be nice, but the team listed (what I heard in the last 15 minutes) doesn't look good. Apparently Rafa is more concerned with winning champions league but that could just be talk, I'll find out.

Forgive me if I am wrong but we could be within 1 point of United on Wednesday, could we not? We play Middlesbrough on Saturday. A win, of course is 3 points. Then we play Sunderland on Tuesday (according to PL website, i thought it was Wednesday?) a win again is 3 points, the two wins would mean 6 points. United are in the League Cup final on Sunday and don't play Newcastle until Wednesday. Closing up a 7 point gap to a 1 point gap in less than 5 days will put alot of pressure on United. And after two average performances against Blackburn and Inter they may slip up along the way. But in order for this to happen we obviously have to win on Saturday.

Torres will be a great loss but not a fatal loss. We can still win this with our current squad. Gerrard may not start but will hopefully feature more than he did against Real Madrid. Benayoun, Mascherano, Aurelio and alot of others deserve to reclaim their place from Wednesday night. The strike force and left wing may be issues. Does anyone know if Riera is ok after Wednesday? He got a bit of a knock at the end. If he is fit I'd say he will go back at LW.

      --------------------------------------- Reina ----------------------------------

      Arbeloa ----------- Carragher ------------- Skrtel ------------ Aurelio

      -------------------- Mascherano ---------- Alonso ----------------------

      Benayoun ------------------------------------------------------------Riera

      ------------------------ Kuyt ------------ Babel -----------------------------

The last time we won was in March 2002, beat them 2-1, Riise and Heskey scored the goals.

So I think were overdue now for another win, so I'm going to stick my neck out and go for 2-1 again.
