Oi! I haven't posted on this thread yet, hope that doesn't make me a "basher"!

Regardless of what has been written on some other threads, I would like to see our strongest available 11 for this game. If Gerrard isn't 100% then bench him - not worth having him on the field if he's going to struggle, stick Benayoun in his spot instead.

I would like to see the right spirit from the players in this game, belief that we can crack the opposition and take all the points.

And no Skrtel at RB please!

I cant see too many changes from Saturdays line up Yossi in for El Zhar probably. Sunderland should be like Stoke and plant themselves behind the halfway line for 90 minuted. If that is the case we will struggle to score with Kuyt playing up front.

Said it before I think Pacheco could do a job for us opening up teams like Sunderland with his creativity so would like to see him in the squad. Another thing id love to see is Sami up front as a target man if were struggling to go through them why not go over them?

Anyway a sloppy 1 nil will do just get the 3 points and keep hoping

We are without Torres which is obviusly a big blow.  Hopefully Gerrard will be fit but we will not have the services of Arbeloa so who will play at RB?

You would have to imagine Kuyt will start up front with Gerrard (if fit) behind him.
I would like to see Riera and Benayoun out wide with Masch and Alonso in the middle.  In defence, Aurelio at LB (his form has improved so Insua goes on the bench) and Darby at RB with Skrtel and Carra in the middle.

So my team would look like:

                    Reina

Darby     Carra    Skrtel    Aurelio

             Masch    Alonso

Benayoun                         Riera

                  Gerrard

                    Kuyt

I think that gets the best 11 (available for the position) on the field.

As for Sunderland, I can see them coming to Anfield looking to stifle us, knowing that they always have the threat of Kenwyn Jones and old boy Cisse - if both are fit and IF he plays two up front.  In reality they will probably put 5 in midfield and work hard to get men behind the ball and catch us on the break.  They are much inproved since Sbragia (sp) took charge but this is another game we should be able to win even without Torres.

I'll go for 2-0 with Benayoun and Alonso to score.

hi m8 im new on here and i like your team but i think el zhar needs to play vs sunderland coz i got a feelin hell do well.benny and el zhar on the wings and id love to see pacheco atleast on the bench.i think our youngsters need to get chance in this hard time coz it will only be good 4 them.so my dream team 4 tommrow is:

lets all think positvely. We know the league is difficult but lets play our way pressing dominating football with no quarter given. Lets get behind the boys put our past dissapointments behind us and see where we can get to. We are all dissapointed about saturday but thats gone lets get a good result tomorrow and see were that takes us.

   Would like to see something like the following.  Although wouldnt be surprised to see Lucas amongst starting 11. Would love to  see  Pacheco brought on for at least  last 30 mins+ .

Totally agree, as much as a relief as it is to see his name on the teamsheet the last thing we want is for him to aggravate any slight injury he may be carrying, especially with big games against Real Madrid and Manure coming up.  I still feel we have a well quipped enough squad to give a nice balance of youth and experience and some of those youngsters just might have some big points to prove.

When did we start playing teams from the Isle of Man ? 

I would like to see us give the following team/formation a rattle:

El Zhar                                              Yossi
                             Kyut

Sort of old school set up with left & right half, inside right & left and right and left wing. It relies heavily on discipline in midfield but that's one thing we possess in abundance. I believe both Nabil and Yossi have both the pace and guile to scare the Sunderland defence and our midfield four have great engines.

I hope we go at them hammer and tongs and reckon we really could tank them 4 or 5 if we do - irrespective of the final line up.

I wouldn't argue with that team.

What i can see happening is that we'll whip the mackems by 3 or 4, and that will leave us scratching our heads even more with regards to the sh*t performance on Saturday.

On that, I'll go for a handsome 3-0 victory for the reds, with Benny, Sami and Stevie rattling the onion bag.

ha ha very funny. the way skrtel played on saturday it looked like he had 3 legs just like the isle of man flag
