      Does anyone play poker?

What do you think are the best sites for online play?

      Anyone play much offline?

I use Ladbrokes mainly though I've had Virgin account and one with VC.

They're all much of a muchness tbh - decnt graphics and then the river ruins your day.  ::)

I used to be in a syndicate where we'd play once every couple of weeks, someone new hosting each time.  Great fun, a few drinks and a laugh over the baize.

If you mean playing for money, then no, I've never played!  ::)

Playing for fun, yes. Used to play quite a bit on PokerStars, though now I have a third kid I don't really have the time, my spare time is spent mainly on here! :D

Would like to play offline, but don't know enough people who play, gets quickly boring playing head to head.

Excellent game though, win or lose I always enjoyed it.

I only play when I get some family around because that's the only time I've got enough people to play with.

Great game, never played online and I don't really think I have the time.

I consider myself pretty decent to be honest.  Went through a phase of playing quite often.  Culminated in me online with Virgin to try and get a pair of tickets for the Champions League final and flights etc to Athens.  I didn't win - pressure.

I've won an online tourney with 1000 people starting, but it was a free roll so I didn't get too much cash.

I use Noble poker.  Not really tried any of the others apart from the Virgin one just the once.

Can you create tournaments on some of these sites and invite specific players - could we have a forum table for instance?

On Ladbrokes you can create a private table, issue a password, set the game type, buy in, number of players, etc.

We could suggest a game in this thread, give table name (LFCreds for example) and password.  Then go play.

      Anyone fancy it?

I haven't been playing poker for a while but if we could get a few together it could be good.

Nobody else seems interested tho...    :(

Recently learnt how to play it. Won't play it online and suck at it, though.

Played with my mates. No one loses/gains money because we all start with 35p and the 35p gets handed back to us after the game.

Guys, google to Ladbrokes poker and set up an account (no need to give bank details, I think) and you can play for "play money".  There are also guides on the site where you download software.  Failing that, I'll send you a few links.

For the others who would be interested in a forum table, I'll have a look to see how to do it on Laddies.

By the way, I'm not on commission from Ladbrokes, it's just the site I use.

I'd be interested in getting a game of that on. Bearing in mind I live in Australia so the time difference might make it difficult though
