I've looked into it on Laddies and it costs a tenner to set up a private game.

Does anyone know of anywhere where we can do it for free?

Going away with the lads from work this October for a 40th Birthday, (not mine long since gone). Now I need some shades to hide my eyes.

What do we think of these,

No seriously, Going to be Texas Hold-ems! What ever that is? Any pointers or do's and don'ts would be appreciated.

Play with my mates every now and then when we crash at each others' houses. Everyone usually puts in a fiver. First place gets 20 quid, second gets their money back.

Spewing. Entered a $30 tournament online. These were the standings and chip count:

      Me - 550,000
      Oppositions - 270,000
      190,000
      185,000

and the other 4 were between 70,000-100,000 with 15,000/30,000 blinds.

Was winning until this hand against the bloke coming second

      Me - 10 J club suited

      Him - Q K off suit.

      The flop comes K 10 10

He goes all in, i obviously call.

      K 10 10 K! 5

He full books me and i sink from there. Come 5th for $500 but still, could of won over $3k.

Enter a $5 tournament. Won it for $800!

      Last hand:

      Me: J J

      Him: A A

He was behind so he pushes all in, i call.

      J A K Q J

Hit a set to win! Spewing for him though. Might buy him some tissues with my winnings.

Recently learned Texas Hold'em Poker but I'm not entirely great at it. Been playing it alot on the phone!

Don't think I'd be good enough to play competitions like my friends who go to Blackpool often for it. Even if I was good enough, I'd probably get hooked on it!

You got so lucky on that river, a 1 outa and you hit. 50/1 odds of that happening, love it!

I used play poker professional a couple years ago, I stopped as I got a job that paid me more then I won. Still play it, not as often as I would like.

I'm pretty bummed that money play online is now illegal in the United States. I was getting ready to get back in to it too. Paid my first year of college thanks to Full Tilt Poker :)

      Where do you folks play?

Hadn't noticed this thread before. I've been living off of online poker for the last few years. It put me through university, paid for my tuition etc. Technically it's illegal here aswell, but it's a bit of a grey area, and it isn't prosecuted. I mostly play on pokerstars and full tilt nowadays.

Keen for a league to be set up! I have all next week off work so available any time if someone sets one up. Even all go on one poker site and buy in on a private table.

Not sure. Only know they have it and how its set up.

Just tripled up on cash tables. Bluffed a guy out of two pair with only pocket deuces.

A forum tournament would be pretty sweet i don't know how many people on here play poker though and how hard it would be to arrange a suitable time with people from all corners of the world here :/
