There's aggression on different levels, though. Some are aggressive pre-flop on pretty looking hands, some are after the flop to play a strong hand. Then you have readers who are tight and play big hands only but then hit and turn aggressive.
If there's two types, i would say it is tight v loose players. Loose players that play any hand the same way or tight players who are patient and look to pounce on big hands.
I'm all round. I like to pin-point each player's style for the first couple of hands and play on it. If i'm heads up against as tight player and see a flop that i can use to my advantage regardless of my cards, i'll pot raise as a standard play and see what they do. If they call, i'll respect their hand. Maybe one more raise and if they call again without me hitting i'll probably back out unless a draw hits on the turn and maybe push them off a high pair with a bluff flush/straight. Then again, if i'm playing against a loose player and i hit big i'll check in to them every time and let them make the plays. If they raise flop, raise turn and check river without any draw on the board then i know i can bet on a high pair to get them off their hand.
