As a childhood hero of mine I still find it hard to criticise him. He's made some big mistakes in his career. Leaving Liverpool was just an awful awful decision and if I'm being honest his career would probably have been in a better state now had he stayed warming the bench at Real Madrid in 2005. In all honesty when he played for Real he always did well. But I think there was something like 2/3 different managers that season and when he crept in to the first eleven the new manager instantly dropped him to the bench, despite being more effective than Raul and Ronaldo that year when he got game time. He got 18 goals from 15 starts that year.

13 goals in 18 starts and 16 substitutions mate.
Still a good record though. But can't really blame them for playing Ronaldo and Raul to be honest.
