“I’m delighted to have agreed a one-year extension to my contract. To play alongside so many great players, under an exceptional manager, and in front of so many incredibly passionate supporters, is a real inspiration. I can’t wait for next season to start."

Just seen this on the BBC, did he ever play for us? Less morals than a $10 whore.

Like Nando, amazing goalscoring record for us, but now loved by no one.

Not too sure about that. Judas never stopped playing for us if my memory serves me correct, and he did leave in the summer, not mid-season.

But he now has those  "many incredibly passionate supporters" to cheer him on from the bench. I guess all those Madrid, Toon and lazy Scousers are so happy for him!

By this i guess he means sit alongside on the bench or to sit on the bench and watch the others play.

Just to answer some of your tweets. Prefer playing less often in a top team than every game in a poor team. Been there a didn't enjoy it.

Pretty sure that's a dig at Newcastle not us, but then agian he didn't play that often at Newcatle because of injury, either way he's a tw*t.

Those comments really show what a proper tw*t he is and why he is so sh*t now!

Carragher or Gerrard would never be happy not playing! Remember Carra saying he would leave if he was not getting picked.

I also remeber Carra saying people like Phil Neville and Nicky Butt should be admired because they could have sat on the bench and collected lots of trophies with high wages but they sacrificed more money and trophies to actually be out on the field playing every week.

How Owen can justify sitting on his arse and calling this season his greatest success when he contributed F**k all is hilarious.

Then I couldn't resist a bit of humour when Robbie Savage said he was looking for a personal trainer.

Nice 1. Piers Morgan winds Owen up no problem. To be fair to Piers, everything he is saying is true
