      Rafa boosted by Agger fitness

Rafael Benitez has today been boosted by the return to fitness of defender Daniel Agger.

The Reds boss revealed that the Denmark international has now resumed full training following a back problem and could be in contention for a place in the squad for Sunday's clash at home to Aston Villa.

"Daniel is back in training," Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv. "Hopefully he will be available for the weekend but it depends on the doctor and whether he thinks it's a risk or not.

"Having Agger available again will be a big boost. When we play at home especially he is a player who can play good passes and is a threat in front of goal.

"We have missed him but hopefully he will now be available for the rest of the season."

Benitez also hinted that Alvaro Arbeloa should be fit to return against Villa but warned that the clash could be too soon for Xabi Alonso.

"Arbeloa trained today," he said. "It was a light training session but I think he'll be okay for Villa.

"It will be more difficult for Xabi Alonso. He was training but only with the physios.

"At the moment we are only definitely without Yossi Benayoun and Philipp Degen so it's very good for us that most of the players are fit because it means we can change them when we need to." [/i]

We'll so much for Benny, well lets see the same side being played. Come on Lucas, get your goal in this one!

Babel should start though, he deserves it....

Just had an update on SSN, Arbeloa, Agger and Alonso are fit but Yossi's hamstring is still shafted.

Riera havent had any kind of impact on recent games. wouldnt hurt him to be left out from the playing 11. Babel deserve to start, then Dossena to replace him in final 20 mins.
I really dont want to see Sami being replaced by Arby, he did well against the scum, Alonso in for lucas tho.

      My lineup would be:

                Reina
      Sami  Carra Skrtel Aurelio
          Masch
                 Alonso
      Kuyt Gerrard      Babel
                    Torres

Villa have no chance against us.

Well that's what we would all like to think but I'm pretty sure their players would be quick to oppose that argument!

Nevertheless, we have much more quality in our team and with our current form this should be a win. Definately.

                           Reina

      Arby      Carra          Skrtel       Aurelio

                  Masch         Lucas

      Babel             Gerrard            Dossena

                           Torres

Feeling pretty confident about this one but I do expect some sort of improvement from Villa so I can't see a huge win, but I couldn't see huge wins against the Mancs and Madrid so who knows! :D

I have a feeling that agger may start this game and this is how we'll line up:

      Reina

      Carra     Agger     Skrtel     Aurelio

      Masch     Lucas

      Kuyt            Gerrard          Babel

      Torres

Subs: Cav, Sami, Arbeloa, Dossena, Spearing, Riera, Ngog

With Torres and Stevie G together for the last 10 games, Villa have been warned, beware the pair of vanilla eaters. (sorry guys couldn't resist it)..........

It was published on an israeli news site today that Benayoun recovered and will be able to play against Aston Villa.

      Arbeloa should be fit..
so should be xabi.. its too early for yossi..
but the good news is agger is back n babel is playin well..

what Im worried about is their proficiency at counter-attacking football. They have a pacey team that can and will play for that one long ball and wait for our defense to slip up. They want the champions league terribly, and we want the win, so expect a serious back/forth match.

      -----------------------------------------Reina--------------------------------------------

      Arbeloa-----------------Skrtel-------------------Carragher------------------Insua

      Kuyt-------------------Mascherano---------------Lucas--------------------Aurelio

      ---------------------------------------Gerrard----------------------------------------------

      -----------------------------------------Torres------------------------------------------

If Arbeloa is fit. If he isn't, as usual, Carra goes right back and Sami Hyypia comes in, after all, Villa have got Heskey and Carew.

We should be able to win this comfortably looking at Villa's run but we have to put in the same performance like we did against Madrid and United.
