Liverpool 5-0 Aston Villa - Post Match Chat

Great performance last night if someone had of told me that we would win 5-0 nil with torres and gerrard both having an off day (I know he got a hat-trick but it was an off day by his standards) I would have said that you were dreaming I think we hardly got out of second gear. Hopefully the break doesn't disrupt our rythm too much so we can go and hammer fulham (12-0 ) and go back to the top of the table although the mancs will have two games in hand.

Great performances these last few games keep up the good work

Let's hope the international break does not disrupt our excellent form and momentum.

Another great result by Rafa and the boys.They look so much better when they play attacking football and pleasing on the eye to.To make it even better the Scum lost.The title race is wide open now.Hope Villa find their form against Utd and give them a hiding.What a season it would be if we won the EPL and CL.

Delighted with the victory, its been so good to watch in the last 3 games. MOTM Reina kept us in it at 1 nil with 2 top draw saves and an assist aswell and he broke Ray Clemances record so think he deserves it. But all the lads we're magic.

what a week

Its been a fantastic 10 days. Maybe this time the break has come right for us because the players can go away feeling very satisfied with their efforts and Benitez can reflect and rest a bit. Man U on the other hand will have to wait for 10 days before Ferguson can get  his players back and try to sort out the problems. After all the good stuff beating Real and Utd and then UTd getting beat it would have been easy for us to stutter yesterday but to the players credit they looked very fresh and raring to go. Just 8 more like that and we will be league champions as I believe UTd will falter again now that teams see through the media hype and see they can be beaten.

we are going from strenght to strenght and interesting that torres didnt score but we can still win. where do we go from here man utd have more games than us and are tiring. ferguson is stepping out the limelight. he can piss his players off as he is a control freak. so they could start to implode. but we have to win all rtemaining games. last year we finished very strong so hope history repeats itself. urge all reds fans to pray jesus answers prayer come on reds

We played well.  Villa just lost their heads and their players may as well of gone awol, I still think Friedel's sending off was harsh, I hope he gets that recinded in time to play the Mancs.

One thing I would say was, Torres has looked sharp the last few games but he didn't against Villa.  That final touch leading up to the penalty was a prime example.  Hope he gets his head screwed on after the internationals!

Come on the Reds, we're breathing down those bas**rds necks and they know it.

He may even get the Golden Boot, 2nd top scorer i the league he has 13 goals in the PL so far, 2 behind Anelka who is out for 3 weeks.
