awesome. brilliant. don't have enough words to describe the result and the performance.
5-0 routing of villa. this result just made my day..!!
hope the red card gets overturned. friedel should definitely be better than the second choice against manure.
P.S. dont worry villa, you always have a chance of coming back into form in the next round of matches. we give you full support for your macth against manure :P

I agree. Hope he gets it rescinded.  Although, to be fair, conceding 4 goals against us isn't a positive sign for him to play against United.

dont think he had much chance of any of saving any of the goals, but thats just my thinking :) Regardless Villa need to pull it together and beat the scum but i think they've definately kissed goodbye to that 4th place unfortunately

Seriously we were awesome today and Nando was way off form. Agger back Arbe and Aurelio buzzing. We could be top before the mancs play again.

The heart beats faster as kick-off approaches,
3 points today and we're back in the hunt.
A clear second we will be,
One point behind every Scummy c**t.

Abgonlahor and Barry, we hope you're ready for us,
A battering you will get from 4pm.
Bring on your schoolboys to the Mighty Anfield,
Where you will be faced by our Great Men.

We'll score 2 in the first half,
And another 3 in the second if we feel up to it.
Top spot will then be within our reach,
Whilst you lot will be left in the sh*t.

Why doesn't anyone comment on this poem I wrote BEFORE kick-off. I shudve placed a bet. Who cares? We won!!!

The title-run is has now arrived,
And we can already smell the title.
January now seems a long way behind,
March, April and May will be absolutely vital.

(OK, I was wrong about the half-time score!!!)

Yep, he beat Clemence's record of something like 200 games to reach 100 clean sheets, Reina's done it in something like 197.
Great weekend, I'm gonna have so much fun watching MOTD2 tonight and watching us bang another 5 goals in, then Ferguson getting red faced as he loses to Fulham, and THEN Spurs overturning Chelsea as well. F***ing perfect!!! :D :D :)

Now we need Villa to do us a job up at the swamp.
One downer is Villa are without their top keeper for that match

At the minute? No, we are still 2nd as we are one point behind.

They mean first in the table for GD - and to answer that, yes - we're one ahead of Chelsea who are on 32. That makes +33 for us.

What a result! :D F***ing hell, why did I only predict 4-1 in the prediction league? :(

So chuffed with the lads, totally the performance I was looking for, plenty of urgency from everyone on the pitch, but no panic. Complete control.

Really pleased by Riera who put in a top display, as did Stevie, Xabi, Mach, Kuyt, Carra, Skrtel, Aurelio, Arbeloa and Reina! ;) Little disappointed by Torres, he and Stevie weren't quite on the same wavelength, but still some good touches from him. Could see the lads all were trying to give him a goal in the last 20 minutes, it would have capped off the afternoon really.

Fantastic stuff, on a high, keeping up the pressure! Can't ask anymore of the boys than what they did today.

On another note, I shan't be washing my 70's style t-shirt as it is still bringing us luck! :D I'm gonna stink for the next match, but it's for the good cause! :D

Well not first in the tables, but in goal differential - by my count we are at +33, Chelsea +32, Manchester Uniter +31. Unless I'm missing something...

EDIT: Ah, yes, thanks for clearing that up!

Wins against Stoke, West Ham, Fulham, Hull and even a draw agains Boro would have made us 10 points clear. We really deserve to be champions this season, even if Scum's depth is greater than ours'.

I think what I'm most happy with is that even when the match was out of hand, they just tried to pile it on and went for the throat for 90 minutes.

Well, that and the 5 goal destruction of a decent team. That was good too :p

Now that's the Riera that started the season!!!  What a game he had, and that goes for all the other reds on the pitch.  Stevie..well what can you say, captain fantastic yet again.  Can't remember when he last missed a penalty.  Masch was a beast and Arby, I don't think I've seen him bomb up and down the pitch as much as he did today.

Overall a fantastic game and best goal difference in the league!!  What a weekend this has been ;D ;D ;D
