FERGIE TRIES TO SHIFT THE BLAME
      Posted 23/03/09 08:42

Alex Ferguson has sought to shift some of the blame for Manchester United's defeat to Fulham on Saturday to referee Phil Dowd.

Although the Manchester United manager conceded that, in the first half at least, his team were not good enough, he is quoted in several Monday morning papers as questioning Dowd's decision to send off both Wayne Rooney and, remarkably, Paul Scholes.

The Guardian quotes Ferguson as saying about Scholes's dismissal for deliberate handball, two yards from the United goal: "He could have easily not given it. But it's Phil Dowd, so what do you expect?"

He went on to question the decision to send Rooney off for two acts of dissent, the second throwing the ball in the vague direction of the referee, but with enough force to send it well beyond where United had a free-kick.

"Did Rooney throw the ball at the referee? The ball was thrown direct to where the free-kick was taken and did it hit the referee? No, the ball didn't hit the referee. Was it thrown in anger? Yes, because he wanted the game hurried up, he threw with pace to get the game going."

Scholes and Rooney will now be suspended for the visit of Aston Villa in a fortnight, a game which could prove crucial in United's faltering title defence.

      Unfuckingbelievable.

It was going to be a goal, the tw*t stopped it going in with his hands so he deserved to go. Guarentee if it was at the Fulham end he wouldn't be complaining.

Also if Rooney didn't deserve to go then it makes up for Ronaldo not seeing red because he should have gotten a straight red for that lunge at the Fulham guy and then he disrespected the ref by laughing.

Someone is certainly starting to feel the pressure of a certain team from Merseyside breathing down their necks.

But he will get away with saying that because he bums the FA.

Denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity, or in this case, blocking a shot with your hands that was clearly going into the back of the net is a dismissal, and is a red card.

      Dumb tw*t.

Would love to see a video of him yesterday at his gaff.

Picture the scene - mothers day at Slur Fergies.

Liverpool 1 - 0  - Mrs Fergies roasties thrown all over the ceiling.
Liverpool 2 - 0  - Tumbler of his favourite whiskey thrown at the TV
Liverpool 3 - 0  - Carrots & green beans spat all over the table as he rants it's not a penalty.

Half time - struts and paces round his bar in the front room mumbling bullshit to himself.

Liverpool 4 - 0  - His Farah pants are drenched in Whiskey as he is enraged at the free kick.
Liverpool 5 - 0  - Chewing gum spat out and trod all over the carpet.

Full time  -  Big red whiskey nose glowing, chunnering on to himself, poor old Mrs Fergie thinking  :lmao:

What a very poor loser that sad demented twit is.

It's surely time for him to retire, as your getting nothing this season Mr Ferguson.

I'll just say this, Paul Scholes is far from being a tw*t but he deserved to be sent off, he didn't argue, he just left the field of play. As for Ronaldo, he gets right on my wick, childish, petulant idiot that he is, Rooney also deserved to go and no doubt you think you will win the league, well I have a different opinion....

By the way Rooney is a great player.......

Not a patch on Torres. You must surely get frustrated with his awful attitude? That ruins his game in my opinion.

Anyway the point of this thread was to exclaim even further how much of a buffoon Fergie is, not that that needed making clear anyway.

Well he swung a punch at Xabi last season i think it was so yes he is a tw*t. If he wants to throw punches and use his hands then he is in the wrong sport.

      Rooney a great player?

Disagree to be honest, although he has been good at times he is still nothing compared to Torres.

Fully agree about the bit about Ronaldo though ;) Not many Mancs would have the guts to call him "childish, petulant and an idiot".

      Disgrace.

But as Rafa so 'fact'ually said, the FA are in his back pocket.

I fully expect nothing to happen of this, and I'm sure Rooney won't get in to any hot water either.

Sometimes you hold you're hand up and admit it didn't go your way.  I don't recall Rafa whinging about the ref when we lost to Middlesbrough.  Ferguson's a plank, and their club stinks from the top to the bottom.

He could easily have not sent Scholes off, but he did, because he knows the rules, you F***ing bellend!

The man is a disgrace to the game. To name a referee and say those sorts of things when he made the CORRECT decision and was PERFECT in his judgemend is childish, pathetic and a disgrace.

How this whinging b***ard got a knighthood is beyond me, with my common sense and all.
