Brouwer just needs to sort the attitude. Not sure how he was coached in Holland but here he needs to listen to whats being asked of him and work hard. Same as Eddie pointed out, if he doesn't, then it will only be a matter of time until he is off elsewhere.

What's everyones thoughts on Darby? I've found you don't really notice him but he seems to go about his job very well. Keeps things simple.

He's another Steve Finnan......just gets on with the job without making any fuss........but you'd miss him if he wasn't there. :)

Less about what he does right and more about what he doesn't do wrong ;) Stevie Finnan all over! 8)

Tonight's reserve clash at home to Wigan Athletic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
No new date has yet been set for the fixture.

The cancellation means LFC TV will now show 'Kop 10 Scouse Stars' from 6.45pm GMT and 'A Closer Look: Liverpool 2-2 Villa' from 7.15pm.

Bugger. Was looking forward to going tonight.

Reserves are set to play Bolton away tonight - first game of the year as the Wigan game was called off. Should be on LFC TV hopefully. 7pm kick off.

Wonder if any of the not so regular first teamers will get an outing?

      'Spearing for England' !

Will have a watch of this.  Dani 'The Kid' Pachecho is supposed to be an exciting prospect.  And anybody who has four parts to their name should also be decent.

Can't help you there mate. Not been too much action for us up front though. Quite a scrappy game but good tempo. Pacheco has caused one or two problems up front. Interesting to see the likes of Hunt, Alonso and Walker in their side. Would you ever imagine Kuyt and Riise taking some part in the reserves for us? I reckon it would be a help. Anyway, still 0-0. We're coming into it a bit more now though.

And what a beauty it was eh Smiggs! I'm having that! Well done the kid. Made up he scores on his first start for the reserves. We're starting to look a lot more dangerous now. Keep it up lads.

I don't really follow the reserves much. Any players worthy of being introduced into the first team next season?
Isn't there a player called Bruna? He suppose to be good I heard, and I know Pacheo is young too

Pachecho looks a great prospect. Hope he gets the nod ahead of Brouwer when Nemeth is back next week. Just had another great effort before, as did Spearing. Spearing looks like he'd have a good go in the first team i reckon. No doubt he deserves it. Looks like a proper Liverpool player. Huth and San Jose look like they have great potential. Solid and confident defenders.

It was a very good game wasn't it Smiggs. Second half we just dominated. 3-0 the final score. Nathan Eccleston coming on as a sub and scoring a second Liverpool pen, with class. Was like an Aldridge pen.  ;)

Tell you what, a couple of the first team players would do well to get in that reserve side. Ablett's got them playing good solid football. They all work hard for the team and go on the attack as a unit.

Isn't there a player called Bruna?

He came on in the second half mate, along with Eccleston with about ten minutes to go. Didn't really get a touch to be honest.

Top of the league anyway! Play Sunderland next week and they are in second place.

Saw the first half, then had to shoot off to Badminton, so I missed all the goals.  :(

Well done lads 3-0 top of the league.....first team could be doing with a few lessons from the young lads, in fact, think we should swap a few of them over.

Thanks for the info Kenny :)

      I watched the game last night on Liverpool TV;

The back four look very good, Jay Spearing was everywere very good game.

Pacheco; this lad is only 16, and looks very very good, it was his 1st time he has played in the reserves,
he has two great feet, and was unlucky not to score more.
I can see him playing in the 1st team, next year in one of the cups.

This win puts Liverpool Reserves top of the league.
It means Liverpool have now moved two points clear of second-placed Sunderland ahead of next week's mouthwatering top of the table clash with the Black Cats up in the North-East.

I think its on Liverpool TV.

      Well done.

Can anyone tell me if they have a game at home on Thursday March 20th please?

Prolific striker Krisztian Nemeth returns for the reserves in tonight's top of the table clash in Sunderland.
The Hungarian hasn't featured in the last two games but is back as Gary Ablett's side look to retain top spot in the FA Premier Reserve League North.

The game can be viewed online through LFC TV from 6.45pm GMT.

The Liverpool team in full is:

David Martin, Stephen Darby, Emiliano Insua, Daniel Ayala, Ronald Huth, Damien Plessis, Ryan Flynn, Jay Spearing, Jordy Brouwer, Krisztian Nemeth, Ray Putterill.

Subs: Daniel Pacheco, Peter Gulacsi, Gerardo Bruna, Ryan Crowther, Andras Simon

Nemeth takes Pachecho's place from last weeks game against Bolton. Pretty unfair really as Pachecho was one of the best players on the pitch last week I thought. Bagged a great goal and went close with other efforts. Brouwer on the other hand didn't have much of an effect on the game - as the case has been for a good few reserve games lately.

Good to see Nemeth back though. Hopefully he can produce the goods to keep Sunderland at bay and we can maintain top position.

Anyone gonna watch it? Should be a decent game this.
