Don't want to get ahead of myself but I really don't think it'll be that long before he gets an opportunity in the first team, possibly a season or two away at most. I'd expect him to be on the plane to Australia in the summer so should be good to see him with the first team there.

I don't think you're getting ahead of yourself at all mate, he's an obvious talent and with that left foot he's another unique player we're very blessed to have.

For those of you that regularly watch the youth games, who do you think is better, Williams or Rossiter?

Personally, I think Rossiter is the better footballer, but what he lacks is physical presence in which Williams has. They both seem to be good positionally with a good turn of pace as well as being composed on the ball. If we had to choose between those 2 to anchor our midfield, I wouldn't have any luck.

They're quite different players so it's hard to say which is better mate.

Rossiter is possibly the better footballer but he's not as versatile as Williams in that he's a definite No.6 or probably more accurate, a cross between Lucas and Allen but with a goalscoring threat.

Williams on the other hand can play defense or midfield and it wouldn't surprise me if Brendan doesn't see him as a direct replacement/back up for Can at RCB.  He has similar characteristics in his play, build, power, passing ability, tackling etc and like Can he started out as a CB.

Ojo starting and Jerome on the bench for Wigan tonight.  Great to see these lads getting game time, not that Jerome necessarily will but just being on the bench means he has a chance.

Huge game too against one of the promotion contenders and they're at home where they've not won yet under Mackay, in fact they've not won at home for 7 months.

the league seems to be improving and the fact they show the Europiean games on Eurosport has helped. would be nice if the BBC got involved and bought the rights to show all the games and turned it into another league like american collegue football which has sell out crowds(so i'm told) week in week out.

maybe not have so many age groups so that the U21 is more competative?

Not to mention Ryan McLaughlin. Haven't seen much of him this season but two goals and an excellent performance last night should get him noticed again.

      U21's playing this afternoon.

      2.30pm: U21s v Fulham live on LFCTV
      7th Apr 2015 - Latest News

Liverpool U21s host Fulham at Chester FC's Swansway Stadium on Tuesday afternoon - and you can watch the game live on LFCTV HD from 2.30pm BST.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm but for the best build-up to the encounter, join Peter McDowall alongside Gary Gillespie and David Fairclough.

With seven matches to go in the league, Michael Beale's charges are fighting for the title and ahead of the bank holiday were in second place, a point behind leaders Manchester United with a game in hand.

And you can see how the U21s get on against Fulham on Tuesday with our full coverage of the contest by tuning in to LFCTV HD or clicking here to watch the match on LFCTV GO.

Great goal from O'Hanlon, Jose with the assist.

Both wb's are doing well but they're playing where wb's should be, up near the oppositions box not hovering around the half way line in two minds whether to attack or defend.

Half time and we're down 1-2, from nowhere.  Sinclair has been so close to scoring so many times I'm sure he'll get one eventually, the chances created stats will be through the roof.

Should be a good 2nd half.

Can't really agree. We dominated the first 30 minutes, but since then its been pretty even, favouring Fulham even.
