German Liverpool players have been good for us in the past,Hamman, Babbel, Ziege, Reidle, and not forgetting the best of all Sean Dundee!  :f_tongueincheek:

Yeah we've been missing some reliable German engineering in the team mate and they fit Brendans requirements of technically good, well coached players.  We've got a good trio of young strikers with Yesil, Sinclair and Origi so let's hope they all get to go on the summer tour and play some part in pre season.

Hodgson really fu**ed up with that one, De La Valle was the closest thing we had to Fowler coming through, and Roy part exchanged him for Paul Konchesky!

To be fair, his career afterwards has been worse than Konchesky's...

Liverpool was the place to develop his career, Fulham destroyed him.

Samid Yesil back to his scoring days, he's just got his 2nd to put the u21's 3-0 up away at Spurs.

Only had chsnce to watch him tonight I know highlights can be misleading but he looked very good  looks to have time and vision hopefully over his injury nightmare .

I'm not being funny if this kid is any good at all (and I don't know as I've never seen him play) then surely he MUST be knocking on the door for a sub slot with the first team before the end of the season. It doesn't look like we'll see Sturridge again anytime soon, and the other people in front of him up top can't be too daunting surely.

needs a lot more game time in my book, still looks like he is still a bit heavy legged although his finishing is excellent, it's hard to judge how bad knee injuries reduce mobility and sharpness so time is needed

BR will defo have some on the bench, not sure how many will start, not until Europa Cup spot is secured anyway.

The u21 league is really close, 6 teams can still win it.

1-0 down at half time, Leicester look stronger and more powerful, need an extra man in midfield

Shows how strong our under-21 team is when Trickett-Smith and Canos don't get into the starting 11 for this one.

Yeah the level of our current 17/18 year olds is way higher than those aged 20/21 still playing at u21.

Looking forward to watching this I've missed a lot of Youth football this season.

You're not the only one, I'm constantly forgetting time and dates when it comes to their games.

Wilson just made a great run towards the Norwich box but got clipped on the edge. Was a blatant booking but obviously they don't give them out often in Academy football.
