Can't wait for these. I honestly think if it is an Arsenal V United Semi-Final that Arsenal could knock them out. But saying that I think Villareal's style of play will be too much for Arsenal in their quarter final.

Btw I found this and don't really know where to put it? I dont think it deserves its own topic. Champions League Final match ball, the one we will be using in all our CL home games next season (When we win no. 6 in Rome) ;).

That looks like a quality ball.
I imagine Petr Cech will have to get used to picking it out of the net when we thump them :)

Won't be long now before we lock horns again with the Chavs. The thing this year is we are a better team than last season and it's games like this that the players all want to play in and there is one thing we can be certain of under Rafa, the team will be prepared.

On the day it's the team that makes the fewest mistakes or someone does something incredible that will win it.

For me Chelsea have two defenders, Ashley Cole and John Terry that although good players are prone to making mistakes, with Cole he often gets to far forward and a fast counter attack can isolate him then he has has to rely on others to bale him out. Terry is different he can look in control but again a swift attack will often have him sliding in to win the ball at some point as he just cant stop himself.

Nando is the perfect forward to exploit Terry with his pace and with SG in and around helping him, we shall open them up, if ever he Nando has a guy in his sight it's aimed at John Terry and he should be in for a rough time.

I have always respected Hiddink as his teams are organised, having watched his Dutch team play in the CL they beat all and sundry with attacking play, against the lesser teams this worked well as they were always better of getting more goals than his opponents.

I remember when they played AC and over two games, they were the better team but they lost. Beside not taking their chances that night it came down to the last 20mins and when their players were tired AC hit them on the break, result, game over.

Point is his teams play honest open football and unless he has changed his footballing Philosophy I expect the same which means we must put pressure on them from the start, make them play toward their goal, but I get the feeling this game is set up for Stevie G and Nando and the rest of the squad

We owe them from last season and we will want to prove a point.

I think the boys will be looking for revenge this time around and will feel 100% confident going in to the game having done the double on them in the league.
TBH yes they did go on a bit of a run under Hiddink but that came crashing to an end last week against the Spurs, point being despite good results their stye of football was average and unconvicning. Hiddink is a good coach though who I have alot of time for but I think based on current form we are a much better side. My biggest problem is that we will be missing Masch for the first game. He is vital in stopping their most dangerous player who in my eyes is Lampard. He is to Chelsea what Stevie is to us Drogba has been hitting some fine form but Skrtel and Carragher have had him in their pockets respectively in previous seasons. I know he got a brace at Stamford Bridge last year  but that was after Skrtel limped off with an inury.

      Villarreal 0-1 Arsenal
      Man Utd 3-2 FC Porto
      Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea
      Barcelona 2-1 Bayern Munich

Are these aggregate scores or just for the first legs? If they are the first leg predictions I can't see United scoring 3. I just can't see it. I know they are at OT and they did score 3 at the weekend but I think Porto will defend and hope to nick an away goal to take to the second leg. And if they are strong enough in defence they might get a 1-1 draw.

All the other scores I agree with. I think Bayern are miss two CB's so maybe Barcelona will grab one or two more goals there. Say what you want about Arsenal's "beautiful" football but I think that their match will be unbearably boring.

Either way I just can't wait for tomorrow night!  :scarf: :kop5cf8koxp6:
