I've over done the coffee here! And I'm still to scared to venture into the Kop board after the match! :P

Talk of McGregor vacating the Featherweight title, fighting Alvarez for the Lightweight belt and (if he wins) having Diaz as his first defence.

Missed this as on holiday. Will have to wait until home as I've got it recorded.

Glad McGregor won. I can jump back on his bandwagon now :)

Love him or hate him he is great for the sport.

Not huge on UFC but that was brutal. Both left it all out there. Credit to both men for the way they shook hands after the 5th.

Just finished watched the whole card (didnt fancy staying up all night and feeling sh*te at work on Monday).

What a card, from top to bottom. Lots of finishes, lots of leg kicks and topped off by FOTY. McGregor proved his heart in that fight, F***ing amazing back and forth. I thought he just edged it with rds 1,2 and 4 but you could make a good case for a draw or even a Diaz decision wouldn't have been shocking.

Conor could tighten up his leg kick technique and needs to keep working on his cardio, though he obviously doesn't like fighting at 170. He might just have too much muscle there at that weight to keep up the pace.

That Italian fella in the first fight looked good tapping out a BJJ black belt, Larkin looked good, Garbrandt could be a problem for Cruz, great debut by the dick with the god's gift tattoo, Cerrone looks better than ever at 170 and Rumble showing off his toe curling power again. What a F***ing card!

Aye. It sounds like they're working on Woodley vs. Wonderboy first and he said after the fight that he's happy to wait for the winner of that.

Hearing a lot of talk of GSP vs. Nick Diaz 2 for his return!

Not exactly a shock but I have to echo the sentiments doing the rounds today, fair play to the lad. F**k it, he had a go, more than most can say, and that took balls.

The main thing it has highlighted is just how tough the sport is, how far it has come from those early boxer v wrestler days. After 2 years of training Punk got man handled. The skill level involved is through the roof. Credit to Mickey Gall, he seen the opportunity to get onto a PPV main card and took it, and then used it as an opportunity to set up a decent fight for himself. He'd still be knocking around the prelims for at least another year without this fight.

Also what about Overeem getting knocked out in full guard... what next for the heavyweights, it's a division I have lost a lot of interest in recently.

Again not exactly a fight that excites me... but I think that is a reflection of the division as a whole.

Gall wouldn't even be in the UFC without Punk, they don't sign 1-0 guys. He's a clever guy, called out the perfect opponent for his next fight and could prob be a co-main, maybe even a main event, on a Fight Pass card.

Lot of respect for Punk, he won just by making the walk. He said himself it was one of the happiest days of his life still. People can sh*t on it and try to say it's embarrassing but he's taking it like a real man, and there's not a lot of them around on the internet.

Cain vs Stipe is definitely the fight and I think it'll be a barn burner. That said, it's about the only fight I have any interest in seeing in that division. Heavyweight is really thin, not a lot of great fight to be made.

Punk got paid and he got paid a lot to come out he wasn't some bum of the street thrown a lifeline by Dana White.

He fought like a bum though and as for Overeem him running the octagon has to be one of the funniest things I've seen in UFC.
