Fair doos, I don't really see him getting into the team now to be honest anyway.

I think we should keep him and give him a couple of games. Wouldn't be a great loss though

Great loss?? Believe me i've seen almost all the matches of Olympiakos and hes not good enough, hes character is not the best. He was fighting with Valverde almost the half season...

I won't post the article in full as it's essentially what has been posted previously, but the Liverpool Echo states the transfer fee as being £3 million.

That is good, one piece of dead wood gone from the team, now I hope we can continue to see off some other players in such quick fashion.

      Liverpool confirm new transfer

Daily Mirror reports that Liverpool have sold Sebastian Leto to Greek top club Panathinaikos. Leto left Anfield without playing a single game for the club.

Leto (22) joined Liverpool from Lanus in front of last season, but was loaned out to Olympiakos. He played 24 league games and scored 1 goal last season.

The fee for the player was rumoured to be in the region of £3.3 million which is a plus from the fee paid to Lanus a year ago, believed to be £1.85 million.

Leto has signed a three year deal with Panathinaikos and will be joined by former Liverpool player Djibril Cisse who also have agreed a move to the Greek top club.

Signed for Panathinaikos according to SSN yellow bar. No menton of Price, no links yet.

      Leto completes Panathinaikos deal
Liverpool winger Sebastian Leto has joined Greek giants Panathinaikos.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Pana's rivals Olympiakos after work permit problems prevented him from playing for Liverpool.

Leto signed for the Reds from Lanus in a £2m deal in August 2007 and made his debut in a Champions League qualifier against Toulouse later that month.

Argentine Leto went on to make three further senior appearances but struggled to make an impact at Anfield.

Good, never thought he would play for Liverpool, too much hassle anyway over this visa stuff getting into England in the first place. Good luck to him and hopefully that 3.3mil goes towards a left winger from Valencia.

Certainly a much better player, now. He's been superb in the first leg of the UCL qualifying game against At. Madrid and now in the second leg.

Just been to Greece and the Panathinaikos fans that I met love him to bits. Saw him play in their game against AEK Athens and he has certainly improved since he was a Liverpool player! Probably the best player on the pitch, and I know its only Greek football but he did stand out!!
