Hate being negative but what a disaster Gerrard is missing, and its a disaster to see Lucas on the team sheet as well, surely Babel or Reira would have being a better opinion, Lucas is hardly a goal threat. We've won plenty of important games without Gerrard and this one's going to be no different.

In all fairness some of the things you've said are true, he has been pretty poor in the big games where he's been given a chance.

But the fact is he'll be putting on a red shirt in half an hour and he will be going out to play against Chelsea so we have to support him. He needs our support and maybe that's what will take his game up a few gears.

I think this 4-3-3 or whatever the hell it is will catch Chelsea out.

Some people say that lucas can´t play. dany and riera must play. I think, it´s not a true. Rafa knows what he is doing. lucas is more ofensive than agger and ivanovic will have many problems with benayoun. I suppose we´ll have to win. COME ON REDS!!!

Never said i won't support him would love him to score a hat trick but obviously I'm less confident of seeing us get a result with him there, would have prefered to see Agger as well, Drogba bullied Skertel all over the pitch last week, obviously Rafa is showing the league is his priority this season by not risking Gerrard. Pity Insua is not in the champions league squad as well.

Big blow to lose Stevie, also I thought Rafa would go for three at the back seen as we're desperate to score goals.

I've got a selection of drinks available to me tonight.  If we haven't scored after 30 minutes I will be making an early substitution in the drinks department.

First half substitutions are radical but I think it's worth it.

this is a TEAM game , yes we have our main man out of action and need someone to step up to the mark if it's to be Lucas then so be it !
As I've said previously the first match doesn't matter, it's half time in a big match were 3 goals down (sound familiar ?) the venue souldn't and won't matter its 22 professionals competing at the highest level, it's what we do best.
This is the time to stand up and be counted !
