Hillsborough Football Disaster: Context & Consequences
      Apr 16, 2009 10:21:17 pm
This site was launched on the 15th March 2009 and it's been publicised in local media - even today on BBC Radio Merseyside by the Mayor of Liverpool - who most of us know spoke very true and heartfelt words at Anfield yesterday.

It's a simple and straightforward way to know the facts.

      http://www.hfdinfo.com/

The following text is taken from RAWK.

Now all the new documentation that first saw light of day as "Hillsborough For Dummies" is ready and has been uploaded.

Nikki has gone into more depth on certain issues and has added new documentation, such as the Duty of Care analysis. The material has been reviewed and revised, with a new foreword from Phil Scraton to boot. Nicky Allt has also endorsed the project in his own words.

There are 7 documents that make up the new Press Pack, and an 8th one that combines all the documentation into one pdf.

      1. 'Press Pack' Introduction (sets the scene)
2a) A Note From The Author
2b) A Note From The Editor (both notes give background as to why we undertook this project)
      3. Hillsborough's 20 Questions (provides food for thought and puts the material into context)
      4. "Context and Consequences" (the main document, known informally as 'HFD')
      5. TimeLine (offers a one-page, chronological snapshot at the day's notable events)
      6. Duty of Care (examines the roles of each authority and specialist connected to the stadium and the event)
      7. Green Guide Breaches (exposes the numerous failings the stadium had in safety terms)
      8. The Combined Pack - all documents in one pdf

Each one can now be downloaded from www.hfdinfo.com from today.

The site itself is very basic and still needs some cosmetic tweaks but I really wanted it up from today, one month before the anniversary - it's just a portal for downloading really, so don't expect flashing lights and whistles - merely some text, some download links and hit counters to assess traffic.

Nikki and I are promoting the press pack this week in a series of interviews. The main doc might be available from Liverpoolfc.tv so that in itself will widen the audience reach - the more the better, the greater the chance to educate anyone who doesn't know the whole background.

      Exposure so far includes:
      The Echo
      The Sunday Times
      The Independent
      The Guardian
      Radio City
      Century FM
      Granada
      Liverpoolfc.tv

Most of the above have confirmed interviews this week, with The Echo already having mentioned it.

      Spread the word, good people.

Oh and if you are on Facbook, we have a group there too.

Nothing at all. Just wanted to know for pure out of interest reasons. Very, very sad day, Justice should and will be served for the 96!

I wasn't having a go, I just wondered why you asked that question.

I know we all want Justice for the 96, it's only what the families of the bereaved deserve especially after all this time.
