      Bad news I am afraid.

Heard fairly conclusively that the guy is going back to Spain - he's not settling in England.

I personally think Scott Carson needs to be brought back to Anfield ASAP.

From what I heard today he could be looking for a transfer in this window if a deal can be done.  I heard Casillas coming in return - think that's Atletico Madrid isn't it?

I remember Casillias playing for Real but don't know where he is now. If Riena does go it would be nice to get David Villa in return, he reminds me of Owen 7 years ago.

Reina, being his good mate, is one reason why we may be able to coax David Villa to come. Hope he stays for that alone.

via a close neighbour (of Reina - not me  ;D).  Long term you just can't keep a player if he doesn't want to be here in a foreign country.  I see we took a keeper on loan today.  Crazy.  Get Carson back.  What's up with you Rafa?

Daniele Padelli has signed on a 6 month loan deal today, he is an Italian under 21 international goalkeeper
Padelli, who is currently on loan at Serie B side Crotone, is highly regarded in Italy.
He currently is a Sampdoria player, but the feeling is that this will turn into a permanent transfer.

Italy always produced top quality keeper so i welcome that signing. now concerning Reina, it dose sound bizarre but if he don't settle he don't! we can't keep a guy against his will, if it's true it's certainely to do with the country then the club surely..Casillas would be a great asset, he's got huge experience and he is a top keeper. I hope Reina stay for at least an other year though.

Just heard that Reina has just signed a new 5 year deal at Liverpool today.

The information I had back at the start of the year was indeed that Jose Reina was very homesick and was seriously considering a move home.

This was the principle reason I believe as to why Carson was only loaned out.

Anyway, he has obviously had a change of heart and it is great news that he has signed a significant contract extension.

We maybe will see some movement on Carson now which will be a great shame as he will turn out to be a quality keeper for years to come IMO.  It was just unfortunate for him that Reina is also young and has adapted brilliantly to the Premiership.
