disgrace, 12 appearances, it seems like a sympathy vote to me, who voted, was it all the players, maybe some lifetime award would have been more fitting, but even phil neal didnt get one of these.

Despite winning a host of honours, including 10 Premier League titles, the PFA award had eluded Giggs until now.

As well as the league crowns, Giggs has also won four FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions League winner's medals as well as two PFA young player awards.

Really. Sums up everything. And now Ferguson has made sure he gets this too before he retires.

It's the Professional Footballers' Association Award, so blame the players. It would be interesting to see the voting.
Does seem to be a Honary thing reading through the lines. Giggs? Devalues the award in my opinion. 12 games and 1 goal!

Players will also vote for players that they simply like as a person, Giggs falls into that.

Gerrard should have won the award over Giggs anyday though.

Giggs can take his pity award and shove it up his arse as far as I'm concerned. He's never won anything in his career in terms of PFA, so they gave it to him this time as a pity vote! Great to know that the FA allow this tripe, most likely they fixed it. If Giggs has any sense of F***ing decency he'll say he didn't deserve to win it.

A joke. He may deserve a lifetime achievement award but he definitely doesn't deserve the Player of the Year.

There's no use having this PFA award anyway. Yesterday the Ferguscum said something about Giggs should win the PFA award and suddenly today he won! What a f**king coincidence! You must be joking me.

Agree with you all on this, the problem here is that this is to elect the best player of THIS year, the ceremony sounded more like a kind of hall of fame where giggs get his reward for actually been giggs...There are no doubt that his career deserved recognition, but that is the wrong award given to the wrong player, fields of anny rd got a nice collection of names who deserved that award more then giggs.

I think Gerrard would be too embarrased to take another trophy that we did not want though to be honest, then again saying that, it'll give him something to polish in the summer.

Hmmmm, is that the same reserves team that is 2nd bottom with Hull City the only team below them?

I am sure he would struggle to get in that team especially with the likes of Deggen, Plessis, and Nemeth competing for places.
