      UEFA Champions League 08/09 Semi-Finals
      Apr 28, 2009 03:03:00 pm
Well  just realised that the sems are a matter of a few hours away.

I could not help but feel a tad down that we are not in the semi's with Rafa at the helm Liverpool and CL semifinals have gone hand in hand for years. (Yes I am aware the season Benfica knocked us out in the QF that is an excpetion)

Anyways I feel a bit  :( that I will not be feeling that game day anxiety and excitment.

Ideally I would want Barcelona to go on and win the comp and humiliate Chelsea on the way and Arsenal to do the same to the Mancs, but then lose to Barca.

Yes, I know what you mean Dadorious, the Champions League Semi Final without Liverpool is like bread without butter, Laurel without Hardy  :(

This could have been us tonight couldn't it playing Barcelona, instead we have to watch on the sidelines.

Not very patriotic I know, but I hope Barca give them a pasting, and like you I hope they go on to win the competition.

I can see it being a Barca/Manure final with hopefully Barca taking the spoils.

Me too. Just been watching some clips of Messi on SSN and he's just amazing. When you don't see someone like him play every week you appreciate just how amazing they are when you see them. I've always liked Messi since i went to spain a few years ago and me and my mate saw him go past us in his car and we gave him a thumbs up and he smiled and done the same back to us ;D It was amazing :)

My ideal would be an Arsenal-Barca final, with Barca again beating Arsenal.

Then again, I could cope with Arsenal or the Chavs winning it, so long as it meant Utd didn't win it.

      Overall though, couldn't give a sh*t.

Barca is gonna crush either arsenal or manure in the final, they'll win 3-0 tonight.

My personal preference would be Barcalona to beat Chelsea, of these 2 groups of players admire Barcalona's more, but thats it. If anything, Barca's defence is the worry for this tie. Whoever goes through please beat Manure if Arsenal did not trash them.

      Best possible ending of Season.
Everton knock out Manure in FA cup - completed.
Liverpool win the league over run-away leader Manure - not yet.
Arsenal or Barcelona/Chelsea beating Manure - not yet.
Man Spew end up with no major trophy.

Anyone apart from Man U to win it. Then I'd be kind of satisfied.

Quite looking forward to seeing the match tonight, basically because Messi is playing, he IMO just edges the best player in the world tag ahead of our Stevie.

      My predictions (Leg 1):
      Barcelona 2-1 Chelsea
      Man Utd 2-0 Arsenal

      Leg 2:
      Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona
      Arsenal 0-1 Man Utd

      Final:
      Barcelona 3-0 Man Utd

I want Barcelona to win the cup, no doubts about that. Get the other mob out and Barca to do Arsenal in Rome.

I like the fact London is still a European Cup-free zone!

One of the pundits said that 140 goals have been scored by Barca this season, thats a crazy amount and have scored in every home game!

Damn, I can only see 140 goals cheating in football manager game with every players 200/200, or 10/10 talents star in FIFA manager =.=

I love the way the players ahead of Toure in the Barca side are comfortable anywhere on the pitch, their freedom and flexibility is awesome.

Interesting encounter this. Barcelona dominating possession but Chelsea have had a few good chances out of nothing, notably Drogba who probably should have scored.

That's wat I like about Barca. But if they do not score a 2 goals cushion in Nou Camp, should start worry about the next leg.

The other Drogba chance where he ended up falling over, he had a chance to pull the trigger but seemed to change his mind last minute.
