Anyone know which legends and/or all star team will be?

Looks like the following are lined up for the match:

Alan Shearer has confirmed he will line-up for the All Stars side in Thursday's Hillsborough Memorial Game at Anfield.
The interim Newcastle United boss - who only hung up his boots in 2006 - is set to link-up with Ricky Tomlinson's squad to take on a team of Liverpool legends, managed by Kenny Dalglish.

"I'm really looking forward to the game and am delighted to help such a brilliant cause," said Shearer.

"Having spent time in Merseyside during my spell at Blackburn Rovers, I know how important Hillsborough is to the people there."

Shearer will join up with the likes of Teddy Sheringham, Mike Newell, Alan Irvine, Nigel Clough, Des Walker, Dave Watson, Alan Stubbs, Trevor Steven and Graham Stuart as well as celebrities such as boxer Joe Calzaghe, Westlife's Nicky Byrne, singer Craig David and Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones.

The confirmed participants for the Anfield legends include Dalglish, Robbie Fowler, John Aldridge, Ian Rush, Peter Beardsley, Ronnie Whelan, Gary Gillespie, Jan Molby, Gary Ablett, Steve Staunton, Jamie Redknapp, Steve McManaman, Gary McAllister and Don Hutchison.

The Hillsborough Memorial Game is in aid of Marina Dalglish Appeal, which hopes to raise funds for the building of a new Radiotherapy Unit at University Hospital in Aintree.

I wouldn't like to say fields of anny road, it might be worth ringing the club sometime today to see how ticket sales are doing, it wouldn't be good if you made the trip to Anfield and then weren't able to get in :o

I do expect there to be a fair few there to be honest.

You would be better of buying your tickets on the phone and collecting them from the ticket office before kick off.

      HILLSBOROUGH MEMORIAL GAME TICKET SALE

      Andrea Shaw 12 May 2009

The Liverpool FC ticket office would like to make the following announcement regarding the online sale for the Hillsborough Memorial Game in aid of the Marina Dalglish Appeal (Thursday, May 14).
The Ticket Office will be stopping websales for the Hillsborough game at 3pm today in order for them to ensure all the tickets are posted first class tonight.

Tickets can still be purchased by phone and in person, and also on the turnstiles on the night of the match.

Just spotted this on the official site, fields of anny road, so it looks like you'd be alright to just turn up on the night.

Get down to Anfield tomorrow evening and not only will you be supporting a great cause, you'll also see some Liverpool Legends from the past.

      Enjoy !
