Getting him means bye-bye to Torres.

Wouldn't pay £30m for him to be honest. He is a good player and we do need another striker but as crouchinho said above £25m and i'd pass aswell. We do need another striker though - Klaas Jan Huntelaar would be ideal.

He only just signed for Schalke and him and Raul are starting to really gel. Looking more potent each week.

If we're going Germany, i'd love Barrios who would cost half as Dzeko.

Why would Dzeko come to us, not going to happen especially with Hodgson here.

Defo great talent he is, Knowing Woy it'll be Carlton COle or Bobby Zamora unfortunatley. Cheers it's been on my pc for ages thought i'd stick it on as a sig seemed a perfect size. ;D

I remember saying that before Huntelaar went to Schalke, but I always thought he could do a job for us, he's not world class as some people expected him to be (only cause he's dutch and scored a record amount of goals in their league doesnt mean he's Van Basten), but he scores goals for every team he playes, even when they're not performing well and/or he's not a regular in the first team. He has a great eye for the goal and I really admire it.

Anyway I can't see him leaving Schalke in some time as he just signed for them after quickly switching from club to club in the previous seasons. As for Lucas Barrios, I'm also a big fan of him but can't see Dortmund letting him go now they're top of the league, at the end of the season maybe, but if they're going to the UCL and we're not even making the Europa League maybe the player himself would not be too keen on signing for LFC.

Oh, the thread is about Dzeko. It would be an amazing signing but I can never see this happening.

He's a worldclass striker, a top player, not a stop gap player.. Would be stupid to write off players just because they're from a certain league. Dzeko can succeed at any top club.

It's always risky business signing players. Some may set the league alight while some don't.

We won't know which category they are in unless they are actually here.

Dzeko is a fantastic striker and a very fair player. He takes care of injured opponents and is very mature. Top signing for any club, no doubt. Even for 30m.

Dzeko is one of the best strikers in the world. No doubt about that.

He's way out of our price range though.

Would be way too expensive for us, but one would hope he signed, and struck up a potent partnership with Nando.

If the funds became available, I would even pay 30 million, as he is deadly and would seem a perfect fit.

Might sound crazy, but if they're interested in Agger, maybe we should think about doing a deal.

I'd rather see this lad come in than Darren Bent!

Certainly worth a bash, but we'd probably have to give them some money on top.

Probably, but if we're supposedly being quoted £20 million odd for Bent, I'd rather see us try using that money to get Dzeko here.

      Not a bad shout that.

I said Bent and Torres would be deadly but Dzeko and Torres would be a whole new level!
