Four ex-Reds have made the top 20 in a poll to discover the 'hardest footballer of all time'.

Kop icons Graeme Souness and Tommy Smith are named in the survey by www.sportingfix.com alongside defenders Neil Ruddock and Julian Dicks.
 
Fans voted former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane football's ultimate hard man.

Never really seen Tommy in the flesh just highlights so cant comment but I dont think Ive seen harder then Souness. Tell ye what Carra and Stevie are hard in my view certainly more so then Ruddock and Dicks

Lee Bowyer I couldn't read the rest of the list when I saw his name, too busy laughing. Although, I did have a bit of a chuckle to see Vinnie Jones at number three, he wasn't hard just couldn't F***ing tackle so it looked like he went in for "hard" tackles.

No Steve McMahon, no Jimmy Case, no Jack Charlton, no Tony Adams, no Jamie Carragher, no Joey Jones.

What a load of bullshit, half of them are a bunch of fairies, and theres some players that would easily get into my top 5 that aren't on the list, i'd be interested to know what the criteria was for scoring there hardness.

I think that list needs re-assessing and i would suggest putting all 20 of them into the ring and having some sort of a royale rumble to determine the order of hardness, last man in there at the end to be crowned the all time hard man of football! Maybe Shitanta could cover it!
