Read Bono's memoir recently - a fantastic read from start to finish, right up there with Springsteen's! Kind of heartbreaking, redemptive and with not a hint of the sort of po facedness that he is misunderstood for. Not afraid to confront his own hypocrisies with a hefty dose of self deprecation as well. Oddly, it's his chapters on activism and the drop the debt campaign that make for some of the most fascinating insights.

Listened to Joshua Tree while making tea. Reminded of his description when they perform Where the Streets Have No Name at concerts - 'as if God is walking through the room'!

There he is. How's things mate?

Doing well buddy. Retired [early btw  ] a year ago & have learned how to relax again.

Saw me some good sights in that year - NYC (twice), Vegas (twice), Firenze Rocks festival, Rome & Milan.
Watched 'Clutch', in NY, 'Aerosmith', 'The Interrupters' & 'Flogging Molly', in Vegas, 'Weezer', 'Green Day', 'RHCP', 'Greta Van Fleet, 'Placebo', 'Jerry Cantrell', 'Metallica', in Florence and 'The Stones' in Milan. [Plus quite a few in N.I.].

Other than that, it's been quiet.

Older & wiser now I'm back to see if I can fit in.

Joshua Tree is one of my fave U2 albums.

Love some of the latter tracks on the album. Mothers of the Disappeared is a hauntingly beautiful track.

Not many white rockers I can think of who can do justice to a classic soul song like the Boss.
