      Ah, you got here before me Si! Likewise - I'm not really a listener of Taylor Swift but last week got bored travelling up north. Got to Caithness and out of curiosity decided to hit play on her recent album on Spotify. This song absolutely killed it for me - f**king hell what a song. One of the best pop songs I've heard in years and years. The nicest thing I can say about it is that it feels like one of those timeless hits I would have registered in my head when I was 10 and taken it all the way through life. Timeless masterpiece.

      If I had to choose, it's the greatest song I've ever heard. Reaches absolute perfection from around 1.40.

      but then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask.'

      Amazing line and just the best delivery of any line I've ever heard. Morrissey pausing for a lovely little guitar fill and then sings that line with such beautiful heart breaking delivery (and bringing forth that unforgettable synth flute melody behind it.) It might just be my favourite moment of any song ever heard. Blows my mind how young and talented both Marr and Morrissey were to create such a masterpiece in song writing.
