Any news on Kelly? Saw he tweeted this today:

Wonder if he has suffered a set back on his return.

No set back. People are underselling how long it'll take him to return to full fitness. He's going to need time, and we won't see him in a competitive match for awhile.

Feel for the lad as before his injury he was really impressing and could have even went on to keep Glen out of the side.

hope he sorts out his Bateman slickbag barnet out as its awful!!  but football terms i think he's better than wisdom but as a RB not a CB. We need his height and power in the box so we can sort out our awful defence off corners and crosses into the box

This! Never confident with Wisdom in the team, needs a loan move away for a year because he's no where near ready IMO.

Think he's been better at RB than CB when he's come in but that's basically because there's less emphasis on him. I agree a loan move for Wisdom is needed.

Remember Skrtel playing at RB, had a great game once and then bloody awful the next if memory serves so that isn't an option, the reason I mention is that I don't expect Kelly to be ready. Said he was rusty as a nail in pre-season and from there expected him back a few months in , not now and it's clearly our biggest weakness.

If I was making the decision I'd probably play Henderson at RB for now but feel Wisdom will get the nod.

Henderson is a good shout Luke but I think the boss will go with Andre as well.

Would love if Martin was fit to step in but according to many who watch the reserves closer than I get to he is far from fully ready at the minute.

 I must watch a different game to everyone else. For me Wisdom is absolutely miles, light years ahead of Kelly.

For one, I think Kelly is going to take a long time to come back given the type of injury and that long road to recovery. Look at Lucas for example. With that mind, Wisdom is the better option at RB at the moment. And for me, both look better at RB than their natural CB position.

Am not sure you can say they look better at RB then CB due to them hardy ever playing there. I know wisdom has played a few game but i cant recall kelly playing there ( probably wrong). Even if they have played a few its not enough games to judge

For me Kelly is a step up on Wisdom

Wisdom in his run of games last season was probably just as impressive as Kelly in his run of games under Dalglish.

Personally prefer a fully fit Kelly over a fully Wisdom by a long chalk.

Unfortunately, a fully fit Kelly is a very rare sight.

Terrible shame for the lad. I do think that if he could have had a relatively unhindered development he could have become an absolute beast for us.

Not saying his career is over or anything, but it's going to be a hard road back, and he'll need to stay sharp to have any chance of being a regular now.

It's crazy.
Proper knee jerk reaction to some first team injuries.

If we are looking to promote players that have performed at U21 level then it should be Sterling and Alberto.
Even watching the games would show you that Sterling has played as an emergency Right Back the last game,
against Sunderland when Liverpool went down to 10 men.

So if you're going to roll the dice then go 3 at the back and deploy Sterling wide right in a 5 man midfield.

Really hope he can play some part on saturday. With Henderson moving to midfield we need him
