One thing Torres didn't do was refuse to play in the Liverpool shirt. I would happily welcome back Torres over this c**t if given the hard dilemma. In reality though both can forget it but if I had to choose one.

Torres refuse to play? Did you see him in the Fulham game?

I would not take Masch back. No way!

You refuse to play for LFC then it is out of the question! He disrespected his manager, the players, the fans and the club.

He can rot away on the Barca bench now! We always said, when you leave Liverpool 99% of the time, you don't go on to further success!

Michael Owen learnt that the hard way! And Javier is too!

Masch wanted to leave well before he did but still put the effort in on field. Can we say the same about Fernando Torres? This is why I would take Javier back if his head was right. Definitely not the blonde though.

      You have a point, DBV.

Masch wanted to leave back before the 2009/2010 season started. I think Rafa told him he could leave the next season or something and throughout the 2009/2010 season, he carried on playing for us and never showed poor body language. He even celebrated when he or someone scored.

Before this season started, it would have been okay to want to leave but the fact that he refused to play against Man City was a poor decision by him. Kinda makes me think the players probably didn't have any respect for Hodgson. I'm quite sure Masch would have think twice if it was Kenny.

      I actually forgotten about that!

On the other hand, Fernando Torres showed F**k all even though he kept proclaiming he was 100% committed, loyal and stuff.

He will be back on the bench for the champons league match against Arsenal this week, his big ego must be massively dented that he is only wheeled out when Barc are resting players for the bigger games

I was strongly against the idea of him coming back but having seen the Torres fiasco, I do have to accept that whilst the Man City game he was a disgrace he did us a terrific service the season before when he wanted to move on but gave 110% and was our best outfield player.

For the right price, I'd take him back.

He was loved by the fans here, I'd say the Barc fans couldn't give a sh*t if he was sold or not. That has to play with his head

At least he gave it his all last season when he wanted to leave.

Won't forget his celebration when he got that 'goal' in the Merseyside Derby or in the Europa League.

Nope, I don't want him back, any player that abandoned us when we were at our most difficult times do not deserve to come back. I don't even want to talk about it and I don't even want to consider it for a second. He has moved on and so did we, we have many young and bright players coming through and I'm sure there'll be a few more additional players coming in for next season, mascherano is history. I appreciate players like Agger much more than masch whom sticked with us through thick and thin.

He thought that he's too good to play for us only to realise that he's not good enough for Barcelona.

Doesn't matter. He's not going to be played ahead of Busquets.

I have moved on mate, that does not mean I can't make a comment stating I'd have him back as I said I'd welcome any world class player to Liverpool F.C for the simple reason it would make us stronger.

He played because Busquets played centre half, talked to a barc fan today told me that was masch best performance since he has been there. As a player I love the lad to be honest

      Totally unsuited to barcelona.
Captain of argentina but now basically a bench or fill in player for his current team.
If he is happy with that situation then he was never worthy of all our love and devotion.
To his credit he has never dismissed his past employers or fans like the spanish tw*t.
He should have stayed or gone to a team that suited him.
      Bizarre and sad.

That was the only low point before his departure which was very unprofessional, IMO but at least he stayed committed even though he wanted to leave before 2009/2010 started and neither sulked nor showed poor attitude.
