Football sayings and cliches...are they productive or a kop out!

Are some sayings and football speak getting on your nerves...... can't we invent new ones.

What saying and cliche is getting on your nerves at the moment.

also some managers/players use the same old football language to describe what has just happened in a match, in doing so they simplify what they need to say.

The saying that's really really getting on my nerves ATM is "Missing piece of the jigsaw" or "last piece of the puzzle", some sayings are quite harmless like over the moon!
What sayings are useful in football.

I find some funny, for example, 'Finished with panache'.

I know what you mean though, some are really annoying and some commentators have their own tendencies like Gray who seems to be obsessed with the thought of somebody 'taking a bow'.

If they're pissing you of I advise you avoid the David Silva board.
