Love the bit where he says he's going to turn them down before they've officially made an enquiry. Presumably a response to the way the arrogant cnuts think they can prise anyone away from their clubs.

Love how the media go along with it - cu*ts like Phil McNumpty think its inevitable that the likes of Klopp will eventually go to United.

they think they can snap their fingers and every top manager would drop their projects and come begging.
The problem is going to be that man u not only have to move players out and get players in and to gel, they also have to deal with the crappy attitudes most of the players there seem to have. Like they are entitled to something just because bacon face was a corrupt b***ard.

Do you suppose they have any idea how foolish they appear to the world in general?
From their owners to the brainless contributors on their sadcafe?

Moyes is saying he's disappointed at the lack of support he received from the man who appointed him manager of Man U, Ferguson could not be contacted at that time being as he was part of a board assembled to dismiss the manager.

No I don't think they really do realize what a hole they are digging/falling into.
It's weird but I keep thinking back to when we were viewed this way with only rafa keeping the ship steady before the inevitable happened with players being sold the hodgson debacle /hicks and Gillette etc etc.
Well it's there turn now and long may it continue :-)

Apparently Giggs' first press conference has gone down a treat!

Fans on redcafe are now all so giddy that they want Giggs appointed long term!!!!

      "he was calm and assured"

      "united is in his blood"

"he's been brought up the Ferguson way"

      Love it!! GIGGS IN !

De ja Vu in a way

Remember all those press conferences we watched with Souness (?), Evans/Houllier, Houllier, Rafa, even Hodgson to an extent (with thinking like; 'Hey he's experienced, perhaps he'll turn it around'), then Dalglish. We suffered to an extent every single time despite the optimism. It'll be just like these inbreds to have unearthed another Fergie

EDIT: And even then the squits will come second to Emperor Rodgers

Been hearing this sh*t all day... in fact, BBC News has just gone to that 'story' right now!
What exactly did people expect Giggs to say?

"Well I'll do it as nobody else is interested but I can't really be arsed. I think I'll just ask the lads to grind out results with some half-arsed displays and see where we go from there..."

Of course he's going to say the right things and bang on about passion. It may even work in the short-term, as it often does when players step into a caretaker role but being a manager full time is very different and he won't even be in the running... unfortunately.

They say Giggs isn't an option but with a good last few matches he'll be in the running. Romanticism will take over and he could be appointed along with Scholes and Butt. Sadly, as we have learnt in the past, there's no place for romance in football management.

Some of the worlds best managers and Mourinho have dismissed themselves from speculation about the United role. I could honestly see Mark Hughes going there because he has a history at United and it is a slight upgrade from Stoke.

Succession planning. We did it. Shankly to Paisley to Fagan to Dalglish. It was only when the king resigned unexpectedly that things started to go wrong. If the Mancs truly believed that Giggs was the answer they would have been planning it. Fact is that apart from the aforementioned King great managers very rarely produce great managers. Revie: Clarke Jones Lorimor Bremner Hunter Giles all unsuccessful. J Charlton borderline. Clough: Francis Bowyer Gemill Todd McFarland failures O'Neil borderline Mancs. Robson Hughes Bruce Keane all relative failures. LFC Lloyd Hughes Neal Keegan Souness. If the Mancs do appoint Giggs (once everyone else turns them down!) all he will do is tarnish his reputation amongst the mancs. They will turn on him same as they have with slur Alex for picking Moyes

Those F***ing idiots are having it all day, Ferguson has said he is always there to advise Ryan (have dick, will travel) Giggs on any aspect of management, Giggs said the first person he phoned on his appointment was Ferguson.
No need for any alarm whatever the fun will continue unabated.

I think it's worth considering the monstrous arrogance of Ferguson; he appoints Moyes who subsequently bemoans the lack of support from his mentor following his dismissal, Ferguson it would appear saw no reason to fault his initial decision and so his advice was entirely uncalled for!
      His view entirely of course.
On the appointment of Giggs, a boardroom decision needless to say after Ferguson fu**ed up with his solo effort, he says he will assist him in any way whatever!?!?
I'm willing to bet there are a fair number on that board who would give the addled gereatric any assistance whatever into retirement as far away from the club as possible.
