26th min and we are hearing, Olé, Olé, Olé when Real Madrid are keeping possession. Love it!

It was offside but they deserved it on first half play. Their not the No1 in domestic & European football side for nothing.

Well he's just redeem himself, that will do his confidence a world of good against the best European team currently

It'd take something bloody special to redeem the above.

That whole midfield is absolute class. Kroos - Modric - Isco. Doesn't get any better than that. If I were to pick one, I'd pick Modric. Brilliant player, runs the whole game. Dictates the tempo, never loses the ball, so clean in his passing. Just a very intelligent player.

@ Keith, what do you think of Lindelof? He has looked completely out of his depth whenever I've seen him play.

Without question, me and S@int (excellent poster that no longer posts unfortunately) had a good few debates who we'd prefer and we could never quite agree on this one. Of course I'd take either but if given the choice Modric every time, one of my favourite players to watch, pure class.

Why does Owen Hargreaves talk like he has gastro issues? Like a dodgy Mexican is speaking back at him. Nasty.

Ronaldo can score the occasional spectacular free kick but the reality is he's not that great a free kick taker.

2-1 FT. That's a kind score line on the Mancs.

Real Madrid fortunate to hold out there against the mighty Red Devils...

With 37% possession, and a lot of hoof ball, Utd looked hugely impressive!  :lmao:

I'm not complaining as it was certainly a better second half for us. Could  of made it 2-2 if we hadn't of missed another sitter by Rashford. Good leaning curve for the season ahead though. Bring on the weekend as it can't come quick enough for me.

Like I said the other day he's off to a terrible start and looks very suspect at present.

      Mourinho, witty as ever..

      Quote
"I think we did well, I think we lost to one goal which shows the result was really short and one of their goals was an offside. With a good VAR system it would be 1-1 and extra-time.

"They could have scored more goals than they did, we could have scored more goals than we did. They had a period of dominance at middle of the first half and we had a period of dominance at middle of the second half."

Yeah £75 million is about the going price for someone to tap a ball in these days! BTW on the evidence of their goalie versus yours brace yourselves for a big bid for De Gea.
