Not sure what progress they made to be honest. Could have gone in 4/5-1 down at half time easily and we should have put another 4 or so past them within 10mins if the 2nd half.

The only progress they made was hanging in until injury time for us to extend our lead.

Yeh but Ole thinks they have made progress.  I can't argue against that.  I can only say carry on making progress.

City must be crap if they lost to them. Any team must be really crap if they're below them in the league. Unbelievably, 15 are. I had to laugh recently, when I saw that you just need 34 points to be 5th in the league atm.

Still, we're back to the situation that I grew up with. Us on our perch, and them going nowhere. Just the way I like it.

It is hilarious but it is an interesting club to think about where you would start with it.

So many issues it's hard to know where to begin. Theres parallels with how we were when we sacked BR. Poor players, confused structure resulting in a mish mash of players favouring a mish mash of different styles.

It needs a manager like Klopp to go in there but there's not many of those around. If I was a United fan I'd be thinking of a new problem every time I thought about how to get back to even challenging us and City.

Surely they need a manager who's a proper manager and a DoF who will work together with a medium-long term vision. If they carry on spending 80 million on average centre halves, 50 million on full backs who cant cross, and 20 million on a winger who's too slight then that will only make matters worse. That by the way being one of Uniteds better transfer windows!! Theyve certainly had worse in the years before it.

That club is in a real mess, but it can be thankful other clubs around them are too. I think Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea are on the road to recovery a little, while United are burying their heads in the sand.

Its a long road back and obviously I'm enjoying every minute of it. I cant see a way back for them unless they change structure, change manager and start investing in their future. Even their ground is looking tired and in need of some TLC. Bet the wifi is still sh*t in there too.

On the plus side Burnley did go full strength against them, which shows they respected United. That must mean they are going places.

Rio embarrassing himself again. Kicking off saying about the 600mill they've spent and nothing to show for it on the pitch with players. Lukaku, Pogba, Sanchez, Falcao, Maguire, AWB, Lindelof etc etc, all players that they were raving about when they were signed.

He is so desperate to pin the blame on the glazers and not Ole. Whether the Mancs like it or not, under LVG and Jose they were still getting top 4 and winning trophies. Ole has since spent near 200mill and taken them massively backwards. On the pitch tonight they had 200mill alone on Maguire, AWB and Martial. 2 of them 3 were signed by Ole and the team as a whole look like they struggle to even do the basics.

“Get that contract out, Ole’s at the wheel”, “United are back!”....well when he was reeling that embarrassing line off the Glazers were in charge then too. He’s refusing to accept Ole has more than played his part in the decline.

The whole club and anyone associated with it is in meltdown and it’s brilliant to see.

We should start a petition to keep Ole at Manure even if their supporters want him gone.

Saw some idiot United fan on Twitter last night demanding they spend "whatever it costs" on Bruno Fernandes & Koulibaly before the window shuts next week.

These people never learn do they?

As good as I think Koulibaly is - he'll be 29 by the time next season starts. He looks great in Serie A which is famously the slowest & most defensive of all of Europe's top leagues.

Bruno Fernandes? Yes he looks like he's got potential, 25 years of age, just reaching his peak. But it's a huge jump from the Portuguese league to the Premier League

I bet this moron was demanding they sign Falcao, Di Maria, Sanchez, Pogba, Lukaku, Maguire & every other overpriced bum that's walked through the door since 2013. What if they do sign these two and they turn out to be sh*te like all the others? It'll be the Glazers fault again & the green & yellow scarves will come back out.

At least under Hicks & Gillette we were actually skint! Just looking at the table from that Hodgson season and at the same stage of the campaign as we're in now, we were only 2 points off United's current total! Think of how sh*te & skint we were that season & United are only two points better off - And that's after spending another £200M in the summer
