First time I've witnessed a Liverpool supporter get offended by the word "lad" but there you go :lmao:

You're comparing apples and oranges if you're just looking at goals, Sterling is a wide attacker whereas Harry Kane is a centre forward so Kane is always going to beat him on goals. I think Sterling has bagged near enough 20 assists a season during the last few campaigns. Don't know Kane's assist stats but I'm sure they'll be nowhere near Sterling.

I think Sterling is a better player, he can effect the game more & sees much more of the ball. Kane is a brilliant centre forward, probably second to only Lewandowski but I think if the two were sold tomorrow Sterling would cost more, and rightly so.

Just put the goalposts back when you've stopped moving them can you ?

Sigh, ok mr pedantic, how about our conveyor belt of forwards in the last 20 years? Pretty F***ing prolific, eh!

Well I can just about wedge Fowler and Owen into that timeframe, so yeah F***ing prolific!!

Neither Fowler or Owen emerged in the last 20 years, both in the 90's!

Oh so now come thru in the last twenty years ?
      Do keep up with yourself.

      Still waiting.....
      Defender or Attacker?

I said come through originally, ie reference to conveyor belt, not sure what you mean by defender or attacker, given a choice probably defender.

Just admit and give up. You painted yourself into a corner.

Who's Sterling? Thought the other player was called Sniveller  ;D

What the hell are you on about??? Didn't we buy Sterling into the academy as a FORWARD in his late teens?
Btw I thought you were asking what is better to develop through the academy, defender or attacker, to which I think defender is better as they are more rare.

      That was your statement.

      Your words.

That was what was contradicted by myself and others.

(You didnt say about strikers or wingers. You didnt say about false number nines etc. You didnt qualify about goals or assists)

You dont even remember what you said.

      Apples and Pears ?   Confused.com.

So Sniveller now is a defender ... and not an attacking talent

Anyone come yet ... to take you home?  White coats?

      Exhausting this.

      ....................

Apologies again Keith for being this thread. Anyhow its keeping you amused and distracted .  ;D

That was my statement - not Heimdall's you've been arguing your point with two different people! 😂

An attacker is an attacking player - That can be a striker a winger or a false nine. I don't know what you're struggling to grasp about that

I said Sterling was the best attacking talent which has came through in the last 10 years, you then jumped onto Google and copied goal stats for players like Vardy & Rooney (both in their 30s and who made their debuts well over 10 years ago, almost 20 in Rooney's case!) which by the way aren't really comparable to Sterling as his game consists of a lot more than just scoring goals. The only player you had in your list who had actually came through in the last 10 years was Harry Kane, which was fair enough, but I think Sterling is the better player. Then you went off on one talking about defenders and arguing your point against somebody who wasn't even in the debate  :lmao:

BTW I didn't say "apples and pairs" either - I said "apples and oranges". Apples and pairs is cockney rhyming slang for stairs  :lmao:

I was worried about the Mancs until last night's game. Greenwood is the new Ronaldo and greatest teenage talent on the planet, Bruno has transformed them and confidence is flowing into the sleeping giants of Martial and Pogba, blah blah blah. Then I saw how Southampton pressed the sh*t out of them and I slept like a baby.

How are you lads supporting this one as you could do me  ;D a favour and beat the chavs to give us good chance of top 4.  ;D

Opinions will be devided I'm sure.  :couch:
