Always good to see the Mancs lose regardless of the competition. Would've been better if they lost to West Ham a few days ago too but it's still 1 less trophy they can try to win.

Bowen works so hard not sure in end product but fantastic work rate and work off the ball

Think his biggest downfall is his complete lack of pace, always looks like he running through mud whilst dragging a tyre.

The only point of this competition is to give run outs to the fringe squad members and new young talent. Domestic cups haven't mattered for ages for any club with real ambition, unless they have ridiculous wealth like City and Chelsea.

Can we all give a collective ha ha to the 80m they’ve spunked on Sancho.

Jordan Ibe looks a world beater in comparison.

70,000 people in the stadium all looking at him thinking “what the hell is this guy up to”.
Even his own teammates are just stood watching, Ole is laughing at him. Can hoof the ball up the pitch but doesn’t even know the drop ball rulings  :D

Hah I’ve seen those given as play ons provided a second player touches the ball wonder if they would have had a case if keeper touched it on way in. Suppose you can’t justify 60yard run as one motion.

The end of that Utd-Villa game was hilarious considering Solskjaer's complaints about not getting enough penalties because of Klopp (despite having received the same amount of pens the last few years as Klopp with only 1/3 of the touches in the opposition box). To be gifted a penalty and then sky it in stoppage time, priceless.

The City and Utd results combine to put us top without kicking a ball yet today. Hopefully we get the win later this afternoon to go 3 clear going into the City game.

Signed Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho but have managed 1 win in the last 4 games, 1 clean sheet so far and now the goals are drying up too. Love it.

Got away with the wins vs West Ham and Wolves but today their luck ran out.

Ronaldo will start engineering behind the scenes to get Ole removed. Signed his own death warrant when Ronaldo went back there

It's a poisoned chalice and Ronaldo is certainly not qualified to make any suggestion about possible replacements for our hero Ole!

How cringe, Fernandes releasing a statement about missing his pen. It’s just a missed pen in a league game, just find it embarrassing doing that to be honest.

On Friday it was a lack of penalties that was responsible for him unable to win matches. After this game, it was an "offside" goal apparantly. It was not offside of course and if you insist it is after it has cleared the offside VAR check, you've officially lost your marbles.

As the manc did who sent his penalty somewhere nearer to Leeds than the net.
