I think that was a few weeks into klopps tenure. He'd had a pop at fans who got off early when Palace I think it was scored at around 82 minutes to make it 2-1 to them and he was making 'where you going'? Hand signals to those fans. Next game at home we were 2-0 down with 10 to go and we scored twice including an origi injury time goal. Klopp saluted the fans as did the players. Not because we drew 2-2 with West Brom but because we showed if the fans and team are as one we are hard to beat. As it was we didn't lose for along time at anfield after that. So it was more than worthwhile.
The only reason everyone remembers it was West Brom was because of the public reaction to the salute after the game, because the Brits who don't watch German football, didn't understand it. We led 1-0 at half time, then were losing, when Divock's heavily deflected shot went in, 4 minutes into injury time to get the draw. The reaction to it, led to Jürgen saying it would never happen again, and it hasn't. He just goes and does it himself.
7 days later, we went to Watford and lost 3-0. And a month later, we lost at home to the mancs, which has never happened again.
Ten Hag got lucky last season with multiple underachieving teams in the league and a piss easy route to both domestic cup finals.
Won't be so fortunate this season.
Every time they win, and the sky's the limit.

As bad as we were last year, nobody called for Jürgen to be sacked, bar a handful of fruitcakes. But if they're serious about transitioning from the culture of waste that's developed over the past 10 years into a serious side, they need to give
managers a manager someone in charge, a lot of time to do it. But if they're not willing to do that, then they can keep wasting money from firing managers after losing local derbies and league cup games to better teams with better players, and eventually they'll end up turning into Everton. They're already halfway there as it is.
Now, that is something for us to laugh at.
