And they say we're the bitter ones?

      Despondent United fans head home

Among the fans arriving at the airport at 0330 BST was Steve, from Manchester, who had been up since 0445 BST on Tuesday.

But despite his fatigue - and the prospect of going to work on Thursday - he remained philosophical about his team's season.

He told the BBC: "I'm a bit down, but we stopped the Scousers winning the league and that was my main priority."

I am usually not one to celebrate in others defeats, not like me as a person but I am getting real satisfaction seeing the pictures of these sad Man U fans coming home from the airport :D:D

I also noticed in that story "Plans for a victory parade through Manchester's streets have been cancelled"
Well I for one am distraught at the fact I wont have a two hour special on Granada reports today.

As the banner some Manc turnip had last night said "are you watching Merseyside?" well yes we where, and we where p**sing ourselves thank you very much! ;)

Haha, my manc mate is trying to justify the loss right now to me. I asked sarcastically...

"If Fletcher played he would have made a huge impact"

And he says, "Yeah, he would have been the difference between a win and a loss"

      F**k of you mancs.

Amusing how the Mancs think. Before the match the hype is all about Ronaldo proving why he was the world's best, not a word about that Fletcher.

Once they lost the game,Fletcher becomes the key player that they missed!!

      F**k of your Mancs.;)

Interviews with United fans on SSN now.  Waiting to hear a Manc accent. Still waiting.

I love the fact Neville is acting like he's been pivotal to United's success this season.

I also love the fact that he lifted the Premier League trophy for them, he deserves it though, honest.

What happened the PFA player of the year Giggs, he looked like he was 46 not 36, It shows to me again that Utd have a big problem in centre midfield when they are relying on a 36 year old former winger. I'm wetting myself listening to all the Utd fans saying if Fletcher was there they would have won.

      From BBC 606:

"I can't believe that Siralex had the cheek to field schoolchildren like Carrick and Anderson against Barcelona, with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta, last night. Once again, he has displayed a flagrant disrespect for a major competition!

Surely he should have played them against Hull instead?"
