No, not really.."Soccer" in the US doesn't really have bandwagon fans.

Their are a lot more people watching the final only because its the Final and as a country we support our National teams and Olympic teams etc...However, "Soccer" will never be the #1 sport or share the same passion as Europe or the rest of the world.  It sucks. I constantly have arguments with friends about it.  They always aske me "Why do you follow European Soccer?" "You like Liverpool,Why?"  Its a constant debate with me.. I tell them if you just give it a chance, watch EPL, Serie A or LaLiga its 100 times better than our MLS and is unbelievably addictive. They just dont listen to me.

Yah, i have the same thing in Australia, all the people saying its a sport for girls and such. Makes me so angry sometimes i wanna stick there heads into a microwave :P

Yeah i know what ya mean, i more meant the people that will for the next couple of days talk about how great it was and pretend to know the ins and outs of the team and sport, then you ask them to explain offside and its like "huh?" ;D
Happened in Australia when we made the world cup, so many jumped on board and then now are like "Harry who, Tim who?"
Ah, oh well let them pretend, makes me feel good when i come up against a pretender fan and stump them :D
      Oh 2-3!!!

Sorry yankLFCfan though, im sure you are hoping they win :)

Well, proved that form is temporary, class is permanent. Saying that, US put on a lot more than i thought they would. I only watched the updates in the web, but a 3-2 scoreline is alot closer than i thought we would see, even after the Spain game.

If I said I expected them to win I would be lying..A 3-2 showing against Brazil is awesome for the US team. It gives them something to build on. Like I stated on here a few days ago, I think the US team can challenge any team in the world. We have some work to do, we need to learn how to adapt and change on the pitch which they dont always do.

I'm proud of them they took Brazil to the 80th Minute in the Final...Not bad. They dominated the first half, they couldn't carry to the 2nd half. Which is something they need to adapt too.  If they could do that then they will go far.. I'm actually looking forward to the World Cup for the first time..

      CONGRATULATIONS TO THE U.S...GOOD SHOW!!!!

Yeah congrats to the USA, they did reallywell in the competition. After a difficult start (which is expected considering they played Italy and Brazil first), they are going home with a silver medal and that is something they should be proud of. Beating Spain was special and they made Brazil's title much more special with that good match. I like their squad, hope they do well in the World Cup :) love Dempsey :D

Now I'm off to the Maracana Stadium, going to watch the Fla-Flu :) laters.

Yeah, alot of improvement needed to make any decent run in the World Cup.. but credit where credits due, they surprised us all i think.
Altidore might have a few clubs suddenly looking at him, not that i think of tournaments as any way to judge a player (Diouf, anyone?)

Altidore signed with Villareal last June for 10 Million U.S. The highest ever for a US born... A few months ago Everton made an offer but Villareal turned it down. They Love him.
