      Are Everton A Small Club
      Feb 04, 2007 11:55:26 am
Was Rafa right to refer to Everton as a "small club"

Personally i think he was spot on, big teams win trophy`s when was the last time Everton were in a final nevermind won a trophy.
      What do you all think.

Everton don't fill their home games.  Liverpool - you struggle to get a ticket.

Everton have won nothing for ages, they have played in Europe once in god knows how long.  Newcastle and Villa (and even arguably the likes of West Ham) are a bigger club than Everton are.

      Our little bitter neighbours.

This made me laugh, nicked off another website  ;)  Reasons why everton are a 'small' club :

      Smaller league points tally
      Smaller trophy cabinet
      Smaller global fan base
      Smaller ground capacity
      Smaller budget
      Smaller transfer kitty
      Smaller minded fans
Smaller number of air miles used

      Smaller achievements
      Smaller ambitions

Big clubs don’t advertise tickets on
       the radio
Big clubs don’t do a ladies day
Big clubs don’t do half season tickets
Big clubs fill there ground every week
      Big clubs win things
      Big clubs spend money
Just some of the reasons they’re a small club

      In Rafa we trust.

I couldn't believe it when i seen them celebrating a 0 - 0 draw like that you would have thought they had just won the league.

only a small club go out with such a defensive plan,,only a small club celebrates that way, when they force a draw with that small % of  possesion ,,only a small club occasionally go in the champions league because they finished 4th and go out immadiately on the first game  so YES rafa was right ,,everton  go in the small club category

Are Everton one of the big four teams the media are always going on about? - No

      Are Liverpool? - Yes

Therefore in comparison Everton are a small club.

      End of argument.
