Mostly down to NZ pressure and intensity. The French rather characteristically wilted at the first sight of trouble however.

So pumped for tomorrow, will be in the pub for midday and staying there all day. COYBIG!

We had a good run at it , gonna be a good team that nocks over the blacks on a different level come on Ireland today and the scots although I don't fancy their chances  .
In the end injuries told just didn't have enough class on the park .the players out there gave everything and you can't ask any more than that .

Irish have 40 mins to stay in the WC. Need to up their intensity esp at the breakdown.

Madigan's kicking is not good enough for this level of rugby.

      Argentina were fantastic today.

Ireland weren't at the races today in terms of intensity.

Scenes. Argentina have been good today. Irelands terrible quarter final luck continues.

      :(

Injuries have really hampered both the Welsh and the Irish campaigns in this World Cup. Thought both were more than good enough to make it to the semifinals. Gonna miss Paul O'Connell in Munster.

I love it when the Irish fans sing Fields of Athenry - it's such a beautiful song.

Argentina fans are horribly annoying, I don't envy the Irish in the stadium tonight.

Top performance from Argentina that. Surely going to be a clean sweep for the southern hemisphere sides now.

Obviously gutted to lose today, don't think there are many excuses either, the better team won. That first 15 minutes for Argentina was the difference. Their intensity and aggression was the difference. We managed to turn a 17 point deficit into just 3 points. But we were chasing the game from the start, in that situation you look to force it too much. Argentina, to their credit, got themselves in a position where they were always in control and could play their own game.

So that's England, Italy, France, Wales and Ireland out so far, with Scotland facing the monumental task of beating Australia. Questions have to be asked about the 6 nations, it's not what we make it out to be.

I certainly hope not. We've started well, rattled the Aussies. But I'm no mug, I know they'll turn up. Just hope we can weather the storm when it comes.

      Unlucky Scotland. Best team lost.

If Australia don't up their game they will be exiting next weekend.
