Had the major league rugby live on the telly yesterday afternoon,New England played Utah in Las Vegas,Utah won.Not exactly mobbed in the stands, few hundred maybe? The highlight was the cute blonde assistant ref or whatever they call em in rugby. No clue which stadium New England plays in.

Watched the All blacks vs the Aussies yesterday and that is how you ref and VAR games. Makes Football look like even more of a joke.

Australia's rugby team yesterday sang the national anthem in the indigenous language of the Aboriginal nation  ..... the Eora.

It was like the All Blacks Haka and welcomed by many .

However it is a version of Advance Australia Fair the anthem composed by a Scotsman in the 1800s and used by Oz instead of God Save The Queen since 1984.

      The words are not indigenous.

Its lyrics describe a land settled by those " young and free" when the indigenous population of Australia is regarded as one of the world's  most ancient civilizations.

Are we going to see a nation in that genocide of 100 milliion people was carried out against ... the Native American Indian .....sing a tribal anthem at the Superbowl?

      Somehow ... I don't think so .

Black Lives Matter ? Take The Knee ?

      Native Americans weren't black.

Didn't know how to respond to this mate but this popped in my head as soon as u mentioned Abos and Native Americans  :lmao:

According to Ice T back in the day: Song Called Race War

      Back to the facts
      What about Australia?
      A f***in failure
      The Aboriginal people are black
      So they got jacked
You ask me about free speech and the Riots?
      So what's in store?
I'm talkin bout a race war

also according to Ice native Americans are

      Mexicans - black
      Jamaicans - black
      Iranians - black
      Indians - black
      Hawaiians - black
      Puerto-Ricans - black
      Eskimos - black
      South-Americans - black
      Orientals - black
      Yeah, that's right
The Klan says everything's black that ain't white
So we gotta get our facts straight
Cause the sh*t they teach in school is pure hate
Sometimes I don't know for sure
If somebody want a race war

I'm still trying to figure out if it was brilliant from Scotland or sh*t from England, possibly a bit of both but in any case well done Scotland.

Social distanced here for the anthems but all will be in a scrum in about five minutes.

      But bizarre.

Can tell its an international weekend when the pubs start flocking students and with men in barbour jackets.

Nah but seriously - good job Ireland and Scotland yesterday. I always quite like the 6 Nations - perfect time of the year for a big sporting competition.

The atmosphere is always great at these rugby matches. Something about the late winter/early spring feel that it captures very nicely.

Brutal test match for Wales in S.Africa depsite being down to 12 at one point they managed to get the scores level on 80 mins only for a penalty to be awarded and S.Africa scored the Ref didn't seem to like the Welsh at all.
