      Here we go.

When we win we're brilliant, when we lose we're the worst team in the world.

Anything else I should add to that? :-\

But we're talking about England Res, not Liverpool ;)

That would be the majority of this nation, that seems to hate my City and my club.

F**k them, as long as no Liverpool players are injured.

They won't win the world cup, especially with dodgy jamo in goal.

Really dissapointed with England, I thought they were going to give us a hand by at least grabbing a draw.

Just like we wouldn't win the European Cup in '05, right?

Why you trying to compare Liverpool with Ingurland?

Liverpool have a long, glorious history. The three F***ing pussies don't.

Oh sorry "One World Cup, two world wars blah blah blah" and any other national jingoistic sh*te those southern cu*ts like to sing.

Seriously Res, do you listen to our games, when other English fans come to Anfield and sing songs slagging OUR CITY and OUR FANS and they then expect us to join up with them and cheer on the national team. Well they can F**k off.

      As Gow said:

      WE ARE SCOUSE, NOT ENGLISH!!!

Spain or Brazil will win it anyway!

Just picture this country winning the World Cup - the national pride, jubilation and celebrations going on.

The whole countries spirits would be lifted, I think it would be F***ing awesome.

First half England were poor, mostly due to the left hand side where Gerrard and Ashley Cole offered nothing. Cole was the culpable player who lost possession of the ball on the edge of his box leading to the goal which he then deflected in off his own head.
Heskey was poor, offering nothing, and Johnston was really lively crossing some balls into dangerous areas and noone was there to capitalise. Heskey should be there for that type of chance.  Carrick was almost invisible, and along with Cole, Heskey and Gerrard did sod all.
Fabulous game by Rooney, Lampard squandered some great chances set up by Rooney. Terry a very sound game, and Milner was also great after replacing Gerrard. He was the player who injected life into England in the second half.
David james did well, and has done nothing to harm his chances.
Finally, disappointed about Lennon being sacrificed, in a game that England did not to win prefer an attacking approach and sacrifice a Gerrard or a Carrick instead. The way Johnston was able to walk around the fullback I think Lennon would have run riot if he played the 90 mins.
I dont think Stevie has been playing well lately, and now has an injury to recover from. Its disappointing for our chances of overcoming a dangerous Sunderland and then the Mancs in the next two prem games. Hopefully he has time to recover.

I'm game if it gets us a day off work to 'celebrate'.

Gerrard 30-yard screamer in the final. Last minute.

      I'd cheer that!

I really cannot stand this player, for me he would make the starting 11 of the WORST players to be picked by England. I have said it before but he brings nothing other than being an immobile lump who we see as the "answer" to our World Cup dreams.

Capello picking on form - dont make me laugh, this idiot doesnt even play for Villa.

Sunday League is his level and the sooner he is out of the side the better.

I can see England going all the way this year and thats a completly unbiased opinion as im Irish, and it kills me to say it.England have never lacked quality players but since Capello has came in he is instilled Organisation, and the right mentality for England to achive what hasnt been done since 1966

I cant see why the english never back there national manager, granted they took their gas off the pedal against ukraine but so what ye had already qualified his team selection (Heskey or not) is obiously getting the job done for once english fans have to get behind their team if ye want to be lifting the world cup in July !

Im fully behind Capello - I think he was a good choice who has got some pride back in wearing the shirt but I just disagree with his selection re Heskey.

I also hope that England go all the way but sadly I dont think we will. If we had played all our previous games without Heskey I still would have expected us to qualify from this group with a similar record to what we have now.

What do we think about who should be England's number one for South Africa? I think we all know that there isn't loads of quality in this area, but Green gets the nod for me. Even if this football blog suggests that David James could be the man to start in the World Cup.

Who would you be happiest with? Bear in mind that we are bound to go to a penalty shoot-out at some stage!

I would defo go for Green as he has been playing well at the moment and seems to be the most consistant performer at present but i don't think we have many good keepers to choose from in England. It was always one position we were strong in but has seemed to have dwindled of class over the last few years.

      Not the best is it.

Yeah I will be, mostly because I have nothing else to do though.

If you're resting A.Cole then you may aswell rest Johnson!
