just pondering what players on form means with McGuire who cant get a game for UTD and was responsible for two of the goals one via a penalty.
I would enjoy this upcoming World Cup if England and their entourage of pundits were not there. Some cracking games to look forward to once the last group games and knockout games get under way

Southgate openly states time and time again if your not playing regularly for your home club you can’t play for England!!! So why the fcuk is Maguire playing?

Other than Tarkowski and Keane, there is no other centre backs softarse was gonna try before the world Cup kicks off.

He'll start the first game in Qatar.

There is also Tomori who is a regular for side that are Italian champions and plays UCL football but like Trent just doesn't seem to fit into his plans

I cannot criticise England too much, living in Wales, the national team do well to qualify for any major  tournament, never mind win anything ! Still best of luck to all national sides competing, they will certainly need it !

I imagine that'll be fun when they play each other in the group games.

Conor must be amused watching slabhead perform to his usual standard game after game

Looked good today but Iran were worse than expected.  Good attacking play from England, sloppy to give away 2 goals.

Was second goal sloppy? Didn't think it was penalty myself.

Surprised Iran caved in the way they did. Usually a well organised, functional side.

I thought the general performance of the defence was sloppy. They were winning fairly easily so it's understandable that they not playing with full intensity.

It was a good warm up match, much tougher games to come.

I thought both fouls were penalties, the Iran pen was very soft but Stones should not know better than holding the shirt.

I got out on the piss for the England game, today.

      I seen Sterling's goal.

The whole day was a blag.

Spent last few days saying to my 7 year old: "World Cup, son. Biggest sporting competition in the world. MASSIVE!"

Said it when I knew the Mrs was in earshot.

Couldn't give a f**k but I'll use it for the pass out 😉

      Edit: Sterling took that well.

I'm also still on the piss

Decent first half, 2-0 up. Second half on the back foot held on to win 2-1. Bellingham did well first 25 or so then faded.

Now I know a lot of you lot don’t like Kane but great achievement by him none  the less. However, how  does one become the greatest goal scorer for England yet never won anything. 😱

He simply has to leave Spurs if he’s any chance to get any silver wear. It’s not beyond the realms he could beat Shearers PL record and yet have nothing to show for it if his last contract at Spurs..

I wouldn't be too concerned with how Bellingham plays in the England squad.....under Southgate........

Look more at his performances in a real team (Dortmund).

Do you think he'll be at United next season?

He can earn a lot more money while winning nothing.

Or he could go abroad, to a club like Bayern, and be certain to win something, but in so doing abandon hopes of beating Shearer's PL record. A club like Bayern surely wouldn't pay £100m for a 30 y/o. I could see him leaving on a free and going there. The only PL club I could see him being sold to is your lot. Money wouldn't be an issue. You've probably got a slightly better chance of winning the bigger trophies than Spurs. But is he prepared to sacrifice all dignity and respect and sell his soul to satan?
