I am glad that he is gone fed up with his antics and the media hype that surrounds him. Very tired of the publicity he gets and the number of times I have to see his greasy head. It is also good because no matter who they bring in whether it is Ribery or another star I very much doubt they will be able to have an immediate impact.

I really dont mind the sale of Ronaldo to Real, but to pay 80 million for a player when I can use that 80 million and build a decent squad to challenge for Europe is absurd.

Anyway, glad to see the back of him, just worried that they'll go out and buy two ronaldo's with the money.

I will be happy when this will be done and over with so we don't have to read or hear about him going to Spain and whatnot. As far as the deal well no question it is a major overpayment but they really wanted the guy so they got him in the end. Hard to believe Ronaldo cost almost as much as Newcastle is suppose to be worth. As far as Manure go it will be hard to replace him, only Messi would be the ideal replacement and that isn't going to happen any time soon though I do think they will use a chunk of the cash to help pay down their huge debt. We say how much trouble they had at the start of the season when he was out and yet he miss the first 1/4 of the season yet is in the top 3 of the scoring chart. Hate him as much as you like I know a lot of teams around the Premiership are happy they won't be seeing him next year.

I think somebody has got the wrong end of the stick with you post.  i can see the bit you have underlined from the LFC official website!  to the person who gave paulrobbo a neg, he was asking why our official club site was mentioning the story.  not why was the general football forum discussing it.

On the one hand, i am estatic to see him leave, gives us a real chance of winning title next season, not saying that their whole team is based on him but without him, they are less of a threat in my opinion. But, i am absolutely appalled at the price, 80 million, thats ridiculous and seeing that money going to united makes me sick!
