I've been fortunate enough to go to quite a few this year, the ones i can remember off the top of my head are:

Elbow, I am Kloot, Public Enemy, The Orb, LCD Soundsystem, We Are Scientists, Ian Brown, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, RLPO (Beethoven's 9th), The Mighty Boosh, The Complete Stone Roses...........There are a few more but cannot remember just now.

Managed to get tickets for Metallica next year which should be awesome, also got tix for Russell Brand which could be interesting after what happened recently.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Orb and Sigur Ros live.

Just got back from Wave Machines' at St Brides. Left early because I've gotta be up early tomorrow, and if I hang around till it finishes I end up helping them sort the church out again and don't get home till 2, not to sleep until about 3 half 3.

What I saw was sound though, as I've come to expect from their gigs. Hopefully they'll be a few more next year for me to get along to.

Oasis' gig from Liverpool's Echo Arena is being played on Radio City right now, if anyone needs cheering up.

Saw Oasis in Belfast last month. Absolutely brilliant. Are you a fan RK?

I wouldn't say I was a big fan mate - only got (What's The Story) Morning Glory and don't really know a lot of their other stuff after that. But I do like some of their tunes.

New album is worth a listen. Got a few real good songs on it.

The local church (St Brides) by ours had Marillion in on Wednesday just gone. Now I've never heard of them meself, but me mam was going crazy because they had a gig in the church. Apparently they were a big band in the 80s.

I didn't go to it, but from what I've heard it was a big success. Any Marillion fans on here?

I haven't really heard much by them, but a mate gave me a few of their cd's a while back which I should have listened to by now.

You surely must have heard this one Billy?

That's a great song that, although it's probably about the only Marillion song I know.

      I haven't been to a concert for ages  :(

In fact the last one I went to was at Anfield for the Paul McCartney, Kaiser Chiefs and the Zutons which was absolutely brilliant.

Yeah I reckon the Kings of Leon are the last true rock band left......complete with the addictions and bust ups and drunken recordings !! A mate of mine follows them all over the world......Madison square gardens in a week or something, Amsterdam in february......wish I could afford to do that but for now I'll just have to put up with being a bankrupt student !! :( Possible nomination for best live act of 2008/09 methinks....what do u reckon MsG ??

^^^ I think you could well be right Podge, I've never seen them 'live', but I would imagine there pretty 'hot'.

Your mate is pretty lucky to be able to do that, can't be bad eh  ;)
