Went to the Maguire's Pizza Bar tonight watch a couple of bands I had never heard of before and absolutely loved both of them - very pleasantly surprised!

The first one - and my favourite - is called Fish Tank. I even got a t-shirt. http://fishtank.bandcamp.com/

The second was Real Terms, also very good. https://soundcloud.com/realterms

Had the pleasure of seeing Bad Company in full force the other night..
They sounded as good, if not better, than when they did in the mid seventies.

      Long live Rock music !

Tickets for U2 go on sale this morning....should I check them out? Only going to be a couple hours away. I'm thinking the answer is a resounding yes...anyone have a reason I shouldn't try to go see them?

Ever since I've moved here, I saw Ocean Colour Scene and local lad Louis Berry. Two very good gigs.

I'm hoping to see a bit more of live music in the coming months though.

So far I got tickets for:

      23/02 - Her's @ Leaf (Liverpool)
23/03 - Trudy and The Romance @ Heebie Jeebie's (Liverpool)
26/03 - Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit @ Gorilla (Manchester)
03/04 - The Who @ Echo Arena (Liverpool)
26/05 - John Cale & Guests playing Velvet Underground & Nico @ Clarence Dock (Liverpool)
      04/07 - Radiohead @ Manchester Arena
      05/07 - Radiohead @ Manchester Arena

(yes, I got tickets for two Radiohead gigs)

And now Kasabian has just been confirmed as a headliner of the Leeds/Reading festival. Seriously considering getting a ticket for this.

Jealous of that 3/4 concert bud. I'd LOVE  to see The Who. I  ended up snagging tickets for U2 in Tampa in August. Kiddos aren't going, just me and the wife.

Got tickets to watch Kasabian in Glasgow, along with a few other bands (such as The Kooks).

      It's a great festival: http://trnsmtfest.com/

I'd have bought tickets for Radiohead as well, but I'm already seeing them at the Manchester Arena, so I'm not spending any more on them right now haha

Sure he is on the Annie Mac show on Radio 1 tonight.

The Libertines will play over in your area in May. Do you like them?

Arcade Fire also announced a concert in Manchester.

Thinking of getting tickets for both if I can afford it.

Sorry only seen this now: http://mif.co.uk/mif17-events/ride/

Tickets were about £27 if I recall correctly, I think there are still tickets available too.

They were great in Glasgow. I'm a huge fan so really enjoyed seeing them there.

Diego you must be the richest student in Liverpool  :D

Hahaha he's got a point there, soft lad.

      :lmao:

Well, definitely not rich, but being in Brazil there were two things I always wanted to do in the UK: watch football (especially the Reds) and watch concerts.

In Rio we get the odd international act here and there, plus Rock In Rio every couple of years, but it's nothing, simply nothing compared to the options here.

And god knows when I'll be able to watch LFC every week too, so I'm just making the most of it while I can, and worry about the consequences later :D
