I think he has the same advisor as Stevie ,you know the one who told him to go to Chelsea.I bet Stevie is pleased he didnt listen to him or he could have been playing alongside Owen.

To be fair he wouldn't really be playing alongside him because Owen never actually plays. :D

Micheal still has it, Michael always takes time to get game fit, after injury, he never had much time at N'catle as he was always on the injury list.

He may be a good impact player for us once match fit, it's worth a shot as he would cost nothing, and he would be good backup for Torres.

It won't happen though, I wonder if Rafa remembers how he left him with hardly a good striker to his name......

      My heart says Yes

      My head Says No

We are all aware we need a quality back up striker to compete with or replace Torres during injury rest etc

I dont think N Gog is ready just yet should Nando get a serious injury that keeps him out for a number of games and he should go out on loan for a season to a club like Newcastle where he'll get a game every game and thus improve him and make him a better player for next year (hopefully)

I do not believe Micheal Owen is the answer as the only person i see him competing with anywhere in Anfield is  Degen for the Treatment Table

So thats why my head says No

Thanks for the goals in the past Michael you were an awesome player for us in your day rivaled only by Thierry Henry and thats the biggest complement i can pay you, but a final swansong at Anfield ? No thanks not even on Pay as You Play.

What exaclty would the deal consist of.His only chance of coming back to Anfield is if he plays for free and pays his own medical expenses.

According to the Sunderland Echo (Paper Rumour I Know) Gerrard has pleaded with Benitez to bring him back..

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has pleaded with the club to bring Newcastle striker Michael Owen back to Anfield

      Aye, old news.

I don't think Rafa would be persuaded that easily. I doubt Gerrard even said that to be honest.

I don't know Gerrard and Owen were good friends, don't know if they still are? Anyway like you said Rafa wouldn't be the easiest to persuade!

I dont know both him and Carragher persuaded Benitez to bring (God)  Fowler Back.

But i hope if its true he fails this time around as the club should be looking to move forwards and not backwards  and i see Michael Owen as much as it pains me to say it as a step in the wrong Direction.

Head says Owen made his bed and now he has to lie in it.
He left us high a dry for 8 million and Nunez "To win trophies"(nothing to do with money) and we won the CL that year.he must have sick as a parrot.

Heart says if he came back on a pay as you play or 30,000 a goal deal which also made Gerrard and carra happy then maybe.
He`d also help the likes of Nemeth,Ecclestone and Dalle Valle in their developement.

      So 50/50 on it,if that helps,;D.

Maybe not a bad idea but my concern is he picks up a lot of injuries and what if he's injured when we really need him to do the job he was brought into do as back up striker heaven forbid if Torres was injured for any length of time.

If he does manage to find his way here I will give the lad full unconditional support as I do with all our players from the first minute to the last regardless of performances things they have said in the past etc etc
