Been solid all season for them. Honestly, he got way too much stick when he was here. Many made him out to be the primary reason we leaked so many goals. Yet, he's gone and our problems in defense are still here.....

In my opinion he's a mid table player for a mid table team and has found his level so it's no surprise. But for a team like us who wants to perform at the highest level possible, he was always well short of that standard.

At 18m one of Rafa's most questionable signings. Wholly unjustified in my opinion.

Agreed. Some unbelievable views on here there were at times.

He does look as though he's been eating round Charlie Adams' house though.

My mate who is a Stoke fan already can't stand Glen, he wants Phil Bardsley in the team instead. Sounds like the same old problems still exist, he's wasteful on the ball and tracks back a lot slower than he goes forward.

      Glad he's not here.

During the game I saw people trying to blame him for our goal, saying we only scored because he "lost his man". It was bollocks just like many times he was blamed for everything wrong our defence did. In our goal he actually had to leave "his man" alone (Ibe) to cover for the central defenders who let Joe Allen completely free in front of goal. He had 2 players to mark and made the natural decision of pressuring the one receiving the ball.

He was very good for a period of around 18 months, in fact I would say he was one of the best full backs in the league at that time, but he went downhill badly over his last 18 months or so with us.

I don't miss him and that's even with his replacement being nothing more than solid since he came in.

He has announced his retirement at age 34.

A frustrating player at times, who could be brilliant and bad in equal measure, but always seemed to give his all.
He was hampered by injuries, but still had some great games for us, and at his best, was quick, strong and tenacious, as well as being decent in defense and a good attacker.

A good player who never quite made that final step to being a great player.

Best of luck to Glenn. Could have been a real top player. Good lad though. Young retiring
